Everything that could go wrong, went horribly wrong.
Mile gets up to follow Bible but I grab his hand to stop him. "I'll go talk to him," I say, getting up.
It's obvious that Mile knows about my relationship with Bible and I don't have to guess who he heard it from. I made it clear to Apo that I wanted no one else to find out about us and that included his best friend.
I don't care that Apo and Mile are practically attached to the hip, he should have respected my wish to keep it a secret but I don't have time to worry about that.
I let Mile see how much pissed off I am at him for sharing my business without asking.

I'll have to find some other time to get mad at him. Right now, I need to find my boyfriend and make sure that he is okay.
I catch up with Bible before he climbs into the car, grabbing his arm and when he turns to look at me, it's to see his red rimmed eyes.
"I'm sorry," he whispers once we are in the car but I really don't see what he has to be sorry about. "My friend was able to see right through me. The other guys..."
I place a hand on top of his as I pull out of parking. "Are you okay?"
He runs his other hand over his hair and lets out a tired sigh. "I thought you'd be angry at me."
"Why would you think of that?"
"I don't know. Maybe because I over reacted back there. I could have easily played off Mile's words and not made a big out of it. Fuck! how am I going to explain all that when I sober up?"
I hate how worked up he is over this. "You don't own anyone an explanation, Bible."
My words don't do much to comfort him and I see that so instead of driving to my home, I decide to take a different route and he is so deep in his head that he doesn't even notice until I've stopped.
"Wait, where are we?" he asks, looking out the window at the glowing lights.
"I thought we'd have that date we missed the other day."
"You mean when I stood you up?"
His voice is sad so I lean in across the console and press my lips against his in the softest touch of skin. "Let it go, Bible. It's okay to freak out sometimes. I forgave you for standing me up and I definitely don't blame you for what happened tonight, okay?"
"Okay."
"Good, now lets go see what they're showing tonight," I say pushing away from him and settling in my seat.
My phone rings in my pocket but I hang up without looking at the caller, before turning it off. Whoever it is, will have to wait.
I pay for the tickets as Bible gets us drinks and popcorn. They are showing a horror movie tonight and as soon as it starts, Bible is hooked.
I, on the other hand, can't keep my eyes off him long enough to focus on the screen. His skin is flashed and seeing him in my clothes sends the possessive part of me preening with pleasure.
I take his hand into mine and he flashes me a smile before focusing on the large screen again. I follow his eyes to the screen, running my thumb on his hand.

I love this. Spending time with him like this.
I find that I am not as worried about being affectionate with him in public like I initially thought I would be. It doesn't mean that I want everyone to know my business but I don't need to hide.
Bible is my boyfriend and I ought to treat him as I have all the girls I've dated before.
When the film is done, Bible's eyes are literally drooping which is hilarious in itself.
"What's your schedule like tomorrow?" I ask once we are back in the car.
"Ugh, are you going to wake me at the crack of dawn again?" he whines.
"Depends on what time you need to be up."
"I don't know, let me check with my manager," he says tapping in his screen as I drive us home.
He shuts his phone and closes his eyes without speaking.
"What?"
"Uh, the photoshoot with Build. It happens tomorrow afternoon and then we have a meeting at the agency I need to attend."
"Why do you make it sound like it's a bad thing. Bib, I told you that I don't mind if you and Build are intimate on screen."
Bible is silent for a while before finally speaking. "Maybe I want you to."
"What do you mean?" I ask stopping the car, thankful for the traffic so I can turn to look at him.
"Maybe I do want you to be jealous. I want you to hate the idea of another man touching me in whatever context. I know I would hate it if another man did the same."
Ridiculous.
This man is ridiculous but I hide how much I want to laugh.
"It helps that I know you don't have feelings for them."
"No, you don't get it Jeff. I like you and while I know you like me back, it doesn't feel the same. Like back at the club, I had no clue what to do with myself. How to react around you. I feel so out of sorts when I am around you and it's driving me nuts."
Hmm. I chew at my lips as I think about his words.
"Would it make you feel better if I told you that you drive me just as crazy? That I am just better at hiding it than you are."
"Really?"
"Lets just say that I have been working longer in the entertainment industry and know how to school my expressions and I don't easily get flustered." I squeeze his hands in mine. "I'm just as crazy about you as you are of me, Bible, in case you were wondering."
I notice how his body visibly relaxes and I chuckle. He's really an open book it's easy to see how people are able to read him and ruffle his feathers.
The rest of the drive is spent in silence and when I pull over into my home, Bible is dozing off. He staggers into the house and trip on his way upstairs its a wonder he doesn't break his neck.
"Please don't wake me up at six," he mumbles before falling face down on the bed.
