So, you are a transgender. This is a complex and touchy subject. There's the pronouns, and the public bathroom situation, and many other things. I'm here to tell you that it will become better soon.
Binders.
That's it. Getting a binder is not as hard as it used to be, so that is a plus. There are many places you can get binders for cheap, or maybe even free. Just always make sure you are binding safely. Don't make it too tight, or you could die. Just make sure it's not too tight.
Public bathrooms and locker rooms are a touchy thing.
Many questions come with first realizing your gender. Which bathroom do I go in? And the answer is whichever one you are most comfortable in. You don't have to do anything that will threaten your mental safety. Or physical safety, even.
If you are cisgender, please support the genderqueer. They have it the worst.Pronouns.
You will get called the wrong pronoun. For sure. At least once. Don't get angry, or sad, or negative. For some people it's an honest mistake. Just tell people what your preferred pronoun is.
The physical transformation.
A long, hard road. It's like a second puberty, except worse. Many things are going to change, and many people are going to ask about. Just remember that the majority of the world consists of ignorant people. Everyone just needs to keep an open mind!
I may not know how hard the struggles are firsthand, but that doesn't mean I can't understand them. Gender is so incredibly complex. It's extremely confusing. Everyone just needs to keep an open mind.
If you would like to help me write a chapter, just message me! I love talking to strangers! (As long as you will actually help)
