Oh, I hate this subject, but I have to make this. I'm sorry if I mess up anything, don't hesitate to correct me.

Gender is an incredibly complex subject. It's so complicated, with all of the different genders.

Gender is what your mind is. Sex is what you were born as. That's how transgender people are made. Their mind is a different gender than their body.

Gender is also used for what you are physically, though. It's a weird word, and that's what makes it so complex.

The first thing you need to realize is that there are more than two genders. It's not just male and female.

The genders include but are not limited to: male, female, agender, and other non-binary.

What in the literal what? Just bear with me, it'll be ok. There are a few terms you need to familiarize yourself with, as well.

Cisgender. The most common type of person. This just means that you are mentally and physically what you were born as. Say if you were born a female, that's it. You are a female.

Transgender. This just means that what you are mentally is not what you were assigned at birth. Say you were born a male. You had always felt more feminine, though. Then you find out that your mind is actually a female. You are transgender.

Genderqueer, an umbrella term. It covers everyone that is not cisgender.

Agender. This just means you don't have a gender. Your mind is neither male nor female. You don't feel like anything. That's it. It's a real thing, guys.

Non-binary gender. This means that you are not male or female, but in fact something entirely different. You still feel like you have a gender, but you know you aren't a male or female. Also used as an umbrella term.

Demigender. Your gender is almost but not fully either male or female. You are almost in the middle, but you lean towards one.

Gender is not just black and white. It is so much more than that. Think of gender as more of a Venn diagram, with lots of genders in between the two main genders and some other random circle. Then there is this little circle that is outside of the diagram. That's all of the genders. Roughly.

I know this is a confusing subject. It's really, really hard to explain. It's going to take more than me to explain it to you, if you don't already have an understanding of all of the genders.
