Alright, rant time.
1. You do not need to be obnoxious about your sexuality/gender.
You have no idea how much this annoys me and some of my straight friends. You are you, and your sexuality/gender is a part of you. That does not mean it is the only part of you. You don't see cis and straight people parading around saying how they are cis or straight. So chill a bit, otherwise the movement goes backwards. Everything in moderation.
2. Don't try to "act gay".
Please. Don't. The movement goes backwards. Being gay doesn't mean you have to be a drama lover, or promiscuous, or even talk in a higher pitched voice. Now, if you just happen to be obsessed with musicals, then that's cool. Just don't force anything, ok?
3. If you need help, get it.
This applies to everyone, really. If you need any help of any kind, then don't complain and get the help you need! Don't expect things to just magically become better if you don't do anything. If you want to transition, go and find a way to transition. There is always a way. Unless it's teleportation, in order to do that we need to create life and that hasn't happened, and shouldn't ever happen.
4. Don't try to be unique. If you are unique, you would already be it. Uniqueness is not a thing you can try to be. It just happens.
Don't. Just don't. Stop trying to be something you just aren't. In the end, all it does is make you unhappy. Trust me on this one.
5. Don't be an over-sensitive bigot.
Just because you are a part of the LGBTQ+ community doesn't mean you can't be a bigot. A lot of people are just uneducated in this, and that's perfectly understandable. The majority of this book is not yet common knowledge.
This also means that if someone is super homophobic, you cannot automatically hate them just because they are homophobic. That's like hating someone just because they don't like atheists. Chances are, their parents conditioned them into that way of thinking. So blame the parents, unless the human is an independent adult. Then it is the human's fault.
In the end, please just be a good person. Please. There's so many bad, annoying, and obnoxious people out there, so we might as well try to make the world a nicer place by being good people!
As always, if you have any questions or anything you can message me. I apologize for not having any "Helping People!" chapters but everything was deleted, so I can't find the messages anymore. I'm sorry if you wanted a chapter and didn't get one.
How're you guys liking this once a week update thing going on? Is it a yay, or a nay? Feedback and criticism is always appreciated!
