Break the ice (Mighty ducks x reader)

23. If only...

Suddenly they disappeared from the screen, where did Klegghorn and Wild wing go? The Saurians were just as surprised as I was, pressing all sorts of buttons but nothing happened.

At least the ducks on the ground have woken up. Still tied up, they couldn't do anything and I wasn't capable to leave my hiding spot, behind the big screen. I could hear them; also hoping that Nosedive and Grin will be back soon. I only could slap myself mentally, knowing how badly it is to go shopping with Phil. The last time he took me along, we returned in six hours. The problem now: they only just left an hour ago. Our only hope is for Wild wing to get in somehow.

And he already had a plan.

Klegghorn wasn't pleased, as they arrived at a secret passage of the ducks headquarters. Unfortunately it won't open. The man, who isn't too fond of the ducks, takes it as a show of them, just so he won't see what lies ahead. Wild wing didn't see any other option but to blow up the door. At least they got in.

Meanwhile, the Saurians were already working on the computer system. Once they got the codes, not one can stop their plans anymore. Wraith, one of the Saurians, found some explosives pucks. Everything that has to do with hockey seems to make him feel sick, handing them over to Siege. He however, had the marvelous idea to place them under the stadium. Not only will they blow us the ducks and their existence, but also thousands of people in the pond. Tanya remembered that they have a game tonight; the place must be full by now. But the Saurians couldn't care less, continuing their plans. Siege went down below and filled the place with the pucks, until he heard something coming from the air shaft. The captain and the goalie game in through that way. Klegghorn was shocked to see what lies underneath the pond, not feeling impressed what so ever. Siege didn't hesitate to get rid of the two, aiming at them with his gun. Wild wing was in luck having the captain with him, trapping the Saurian with handcuffs on a pipe. The goalie has put Siege to sleep, so they won't have to take care of him for a while. They will have some other things to deal with. Since wild wing knows of their presence, he is very cautious to walk around the headquarters. Klegghorn on the other hand isn't very patient, demanding to get a move on. Just giving him what he wants, they got attacked by flying robots, ready to kill them. The captain got curious, "This is dangerous. What did you do that they are so mad at you?"

"We are constantly in the way when they try to take over the world."

If they don't cooperate and work together, it might be over for them and Klegghorn knows that. He got out his gun and Wild wing was to put the robots of for a while. This way, the captain could concentrate on aiming at their weak points. However this victory didn't last long. Chameleon watched it all, feeling frustrated about it. But then again, he simply just sends a few more robots towards the two. In a matter of seconds, the two were eliminated. Chameleon recovered from the last failure, feeling really proud now. They won't have to deal with them anymore. Tanya heard it all and began to lose all hope; she just couldn't believe that their team captain is dead. But for Duke, he won't give up so easily, getting an idea on how untie their hands. Once done, Mallory came up with the next idea, using a hologram of Siege. Unfortunately, the real one managed to free himself from the handcuffs. This plan didn't last long, but long enough to escape. Suddenly, they all were shooting at another, even chameleon activated one from the ceiling, making it unable for the ducks ot leave their spot. Duke saw me underneath them, "N/A, stay down!" Witohut a weapon of my own, I had no other choice. As the door opened, I feared of another Saurian coiming in. Lucklily, it was Wild wing and Klegghorn. I never thought I would be so happy to see the goalie again. Wild wing deactivated the gun from the ceiling, giving them all the opportunity to attack. Duke managed to catch them of guard, but had to hide again. Three against one is even for him too much. The three, who are now reunited with their team captain, told wild wing about what happened in the meantime. For Klegghorn was this obvious on what to do next, the duck should take care of the explosions and he deals with the Saurians. Wild wing saw me behind the screen, coming over, "N/A, here." I looked in disbelieve at the gun. The goalie didn't look too pleased to hand it over, "Normally I wouldn't do this, but right now you going to need something to protect yourself with. Please be careful." I expected that he stayed by my side, but he left us five alone. Mallory shouted over, "N/A, we need help."

"But what about Wild wing?"

"He is dealing with the explosive pucks. If he doesn't succeed, we will blow up in six minutes."

I frowned, "At least he could have kissed me as a farewell."

"What was that?"

"Nothing...Ducks rock!!!!" another fight broke out. I managed to hit Wraith on his shoulder, but that was as far as I could get, because now another saurian has appeared behind us. It was their boss, who used his powers to take us all down...except me. Standing too far off, his powers didn't reach me. Dragaunus however, got Wraith to capture me, "Once we get the code, we will take her to the raptor." As much as I tried to resist, they won't let me go. Not even as Phil, Nosedive and Grin came in. In one blow, Dragaunus has made them hit the walls. Through the impact, Phil had let go of his foods and drinks, including his favorite doughnuts. One of them fell out of the box, rolling towards the captain. That is as I remembered the day I was in his office. He gave me a long lecture about what I had done and what will happen afterwards. During him going on about it, he couldn't resist to eat doughnuts.

I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a try.

With my foot, I changed the direction of the doughnut, making it roll towards Klegghorn's head. The smell did his purpose, waking him up. Dragaunus didn't pay attention to the ducks, he was feeling overwhelmed. He got the code, nothing could stop him, he shouted. Too bad, the captain didn't play along, destroying the codes once and for all. Their plans failed again, which left them no choice but to leave.

Duke was more than pleased about this outcome, "That was fun, what is next?"

Tanya sighted, "We still have a game to play"

Not one duck was pleased about this for once, while I smiled, "Cheer up, the six minutes are already over, that means Wild wing saved the stadium."

"And all the people inside" added Tanya.

I nodded pleased. Now that we had nothing to fear anymore, Mallory nudged my side, "Say N/A, what did you mean by 'he should have kissed me for a farewell'?"

"Oh nothing, don't have a game to go too?"

"N/A, come on, tell me!"

Like hell I would, I just placed my finger in my ears and sang a lala tune. They don't need to know everything.
