Break the ice (Mighty ducks x reader)

36. I am back

Wild wing had to be careful. Inside the raptor, the Saurians took their new hostages to the control room. Duke and Nosedive are still controlled by Wraith, while the others stood in front of the Saurian Overlord.

"Canard, long time no see"

The team captain had to suppress a frown, greeting Dragaunus the same way, with a massive smile, "Same"

"I was wondering; if you enjoyed your journey through the dimensional limbo?"

"Why don't you find out yourself? After all we will go back to Puck world together at some point"

Dragaunus laughed out loud, "Like that is going to happen! I have a good idea. Why don't you get back to Puck world and I stay here?"

"Even if we go back, we will return, only to take you down"

"We will see about that" the Saurian Overlord orders his henchmen to open the portal. However, with the amount of energy it used, it won't get big enough for the ducks to enter. Although they could have the right amount of power, they weren't aware of the other two ducks removing the source. Tanya managed to get inside the raptor from another opening, gaining entrance to the place where the belirium crystal is supposed to be. Instead of it, stands a massive machine, saving up energy that they have stolen months ago from the city. Wild wing doesn't have a plan just yet, but this was already a good idea. Tanya was pleased with her work, "So, they won't be able to get away for a while."

"DO you think we can find Canard and the others?"

"Of course, all we have to do is get to the control room and shut down the raptor. With the main chip removed, they won't get away that easily."

The goalie opened the door to he corridor, only to be confronted by his baby brother, "Dive, are you alright?"

Instead of an answer, he said in a robotic tone, "Intruders."

Duke followed him from behind, aiming for Tanya. The engineer held the goalie back, "Be careful Wild wing, they seem to be under control of someone." Their money was on Wraith, remembering how they used to control Phil back then. Knowing the way on how the Saurian took over their minds, Wild wing would need his mask, "We got to find the device that controls them, but without the mask it will take longer."

"That means only one option..." said Tanya, throwing her tools towards the male ducks, "...run!!!" With a body slam, the goalie pushed Nosedive against the wall. He mumbled an apology before heading upstairs. By locating the others, it will be easier to find them. Even so, Duke and Dive recovered quickly, going after the two. Duke cut through the walls, cutting them off on their way up. Dive stood behind them, preventing an escape. For Wild wing and Tanya a hard task; since they didn't want to harm their own team members.

For Canard and everyone else a disaster, the entire team was captured in such a short time. It was humiliating for him at the new leader, getting them in serious danger again. Dragaunus on the other hand, couldn't feel any more satisfied than this. It may take some time, till Chameleon reported back to the overlord, that the power source was ready and set. Nothing stood in his way to open the portal anymore. In hope that he won't have to see the ducks again, Dragaunus decided to use a planet far away from earth and Puck world.

Since that time, I got back to the planet.

As expected, I fell right into wet grass of Anaheim's park. A large man came over, sounding worried, "Hey, are you alright?"

The fall not as soft as I expected, moaning out, "I think so."

"Where did you just come from? There was this strange circle in the air and then..."

I cut him off, not having the strength to explain it now, "It is a long story, I tell you another time." I could consider myself lucky, since he was very helpful; he even drove me to the destination I need to get to. On our way, I asked him to stop, "Could you do me one more favor?"

He didn't seem to mind it at all, "Sure, what is it?"

"Can we pick up someone? I may need another hand."

The tall man didn't ask any questions or seems to be curious. At this point I wasn't sure whose more naïve...me or him? Jumping into the car of a stranger I have never seen before was not the smartest options, but still...for Wild wing and the ducks, I was willing to take the risk. Lost in my own thoughts, I looked out the window, "I hope they are alright."

"Who?"

Woah! It talks?! "My friends...and my boyfriend."

"Are they in danger?"

"Let's hope they aren't. It is not like they didn't do such things before, but this time, I have a really bad feeling about this." Seeing the building where Buzz works, I sighted, "Wild wing will be fine, I am sure..."

"Wild wing?!" I was glad to have the seatbelt on; otherwise I would have flown through the front window, "What the hell!!!!" That guy had hit the brakes so hard, that we stopped in seconds, "Did you just say the goalies name?"

"You know him?"

All of a sudden, he looked very proud of himself, "Theses ducks got me onto the right side of life. I was a thug back then, but now, I am doing the right thing." His grin widened while staring at me, "I knew I seen you somewhere before...you're his girlfriend. I saw it on TV." Like all the others, I thought. "Can I help you?" his hand reached out to me, "I would like to make it up to the ducks." It wouldn't help to have him around, he might be useful. Shaking his hand I nodded at the guy, "You can."
