Break the ice (Mighty ducks x reader)

19. Vonda Mc Drake

It wasn't the first time that something happened at a factory. From villainous humans and the Saurian, they all break in or steal something, they needed to conquer the world. The last two missions went alright, since I was saved. Phil grew tired of babysitting, constantly sneaking out for something to eat. Like I wouldn't notice it, but didn't do anything to upset Wild Wing. I didn't want an argument with him.

But the next mission for the mighty ducks couldn't prevent this.

Another game came up and I had to sell out popcorn and drinks. It was a bad idea to play with Phil cards, he won every time. When I had a moment to take a small break, I watched the ducks, seeing Duke and Nosedive trying to get the puck at the same time. This situation didn't stop after the game. In the living room, they were picking a fight with another once more, while everyone else was minding their own business. Suddenly, as I went towards Grin and Mallory, Nosedive yelled over to me.

"Hey N/A, who do you think should have had the puck?"

Not to get involved, I shrugged, "I don't know, didn't see it."

Duke tried to explain the situation to me, as Wild wing got between us, "Leave her alone you guys. "

Suddenly the alarm went off.

But what happened then only made things a lot more complicated. Backing off from the door, the ducks prepared for the intruder, aiming with their weapons towards the door. My problem started at the sight of a beautiful female duck. She had all that a male ducks could wish for, a perfect body, long hair and a silky voice. I was glad that Wild wing stayed skeptical, while Duke and Dive were overwhelmed by such beauty. Mallory even wasn't convinced by her presence, not even as Wild wing checked out with his mask her true nature. I was told that this Chameleon guy could change his appearance, but in this case, she was real. I sighted deeply; I had hoped that it was the case than this love machine. Duke and Nosedive were all over her, talking all sorts of nonsense. Wild wing watched from the distance, which didn't calm my nerves either.

"Isn't she your type?"

The goalie looked stunned at me, "Why would you think I am into her?"

I frowned, "She is good looking...gorgeous...a duck...."

"Don't get me wrong N/A. She is beautiful..."

"...and a duck..."

He raised his hands up in defense, "I am not into her and I am not interested."

I raised a brow, "...still a duck..."

"You're not giving up do you?"

"Not until you tell me the truth." This particular fact was something that bothered me the whole time. The goalie couldn't win this, but he didn't want to give in either. Instead, he just ignored me as this female hot shot mentioned her skills in computers. My jealousy grew by the minute. Even Mallory couldn't help but feels hopeless by seeing two grownup ducks fight like a pair of teenagers. Ignoring the pair, I watched Wild wing and the woman, which I found out is called Vonda. They were standing close to another, a little too much for my taste. My worries began to increase, as they all wanted to go to that destination the computer showed up. The team captain demanded for Vonda to come along, that was my moment to interrupt.

"I am coming with you."

Wild wing shook his head, "You stay here and wait for us."

I crossed my arms, "I knew you have a thing for her."

"N/A, I am not into her."

"Then what is the harm for letting me join you for once?"

Apparently the kidnapping incident was his only excuse not to, but I stayed firm, "If I don't come along, I take it that you like her more than you let on." This was the end of this discussion. Pleased, I sat next to the goalie in the Aerowing. Disgusted, I gave Vonda a glare, while she made Duke and Dive go nuts. Mallory didn't like it either, "I am feeling not well without Tanya not being around."

"Where is she Mallory?"

"Probably at this technical store...what was it called...lectric land?"

I nodded, "More like waste-your-time-and-money-in-this-place-store"

At least we had something to laugh about than watching two love puppies drooling all over the place. Unfortunately, I was only allowed to come along, because Wild wing didn't have the time and energy to argue with me. However, that doesn't mean I was allowed to leave the Aerowing. To be safe, he ordered me to stay there, so I basically missed out on all the fun. Only half an hour later, they were back. My glare got darker, as this woman was next to Wild wing...again. Mallory stopped me from causing a scene, "Wild wing isn't interested in her."

"How can you tell?"

She pointed at Duke and Dive, "Otherwise he would act like them."

I had to suppress a laugh, imagining the goalie acing like a lovesick puppy, "Highly unlikely."

But even so, it was still a hard task for my nerves. Back in the pond, Wild wing placed an item into a tube. I nudged Mallory's side to ask what it was; apparently, it is some kind of chip the Saurians were trying to get their hands on. Before I could think about it, the voice of Vonda made me shudder. I forgot all about her. As she wanted to get some rest, I couldn't believe my ears what I just heard.

"You can have my bunk."

Did Wild wing really say that?! Since I had to stay, it was known as 'our bunk', don't I have something to say about that?! Hey all left, ignoring me...so I guess I don't. Wild wing came over, giving me a caring smile, "Don't worry, we can sleep elsewhere." His hand was about to grab my shoulder, as I backed off, "Correction, I sleep elsewhere...you sleep on the couch."

The goalie was irritated, "What did I do?"

I went past Mallory, as she shook her head towards her team captain, "Isn't it obvious? She doesn't want this woman to be here and neither do I. I don't trust her and Tanya is still not here."

"I am sure she will be back and as for Vonda, we will see."
