"Okay and that's my pile of broken things. See the difference?" C.C pointed at the biggest pile of rubble of them all.
"So you guys just destroy things and have a competition to see who has the biggest pile?" I asked as I examined the other four piles. None of them were as big as C.C's. I mean his rebel name was not "The Destroyer" for nothing.
"Yup. I'm winning and have been winning and will be winning for a very long time." C.C said with a smile.
"Whose is that one?" I asked with a smirk looking at the small one to the left. "It barely has any rubble."
"That one's Andy's." C.C said with a chuckle. "Being able to see prophecies doesn't destroy rocks."
I laughed along with C.C for a while until he took my hand and led me back to the building. "So that's it for outside, the kitchen, our rooms and the small bathroom. The only thing left is the meeting room."
We went inside the building and instead of going straight into the main hallway, we turned to the right.
I didn't pay much attention on the way to the meeting room. I was too busy thinking about many things. The thoughts raced inside my head to the point where I was getting a headache.
Was C.C telling me the truth or just joking around when he mentioned the thing about Andy and I holding hands under the moonlight? Did it matter? I mean did I had feelings for this Andy kid? I just met the guy.
He could be a total jerk for all I know. So I didn't know if I felt excited or just... awkward. It felt funny.
And what was all of this stuff of me being a rebel? I can't destroy things, or see prophecies or do whatever the other boys can do, so what are my abilities?
I'm so confused.
I'm so confused at life.
All those years of being trapped in F.E.A.R's claws left me a little unsure of everything I do.
It's weird that I'm safe now. I'm not living in that church or feeling scared anymore. But I'm not happy much either, I'm just awkward. It feels wierd.
"So this is the meeting room." C.C said as he opened the big brass door. "It's just where we- Oh. Hi Jake."
Jake was sitting at one of the chairs reading a very big book, looking sad as before. He gave us a small smile and picked up the book he wa reading. "Hi. C.C. Michelle." He nodded in our direction and stood up.
He squirmed passed us at the door way and quickened his pace down the hallway. Before I knew it, he was gone.
I looked up at C.C for an explanation but he didn't give me one. He just smiled and led me to a chair.
"Just a little socially awkward. He's a really good guy, honest." He said as he turned onto the big book shelf that was there.
It was full of big books on many topics. There were legends, history books, and a lot of journals. Jake had been reading a journal it seemed. I wonder whose journal it was.
"How did you get all of those books?" I asked.
C.C looked over to me and gave me a journal. "Thanks to Jinxx and his abilities, we can get some things now and then." He explained.
I stared down at the journal he had handed me and went through the pages. They were all blank.
I looked at him with a confused expression as I closed the book. "It's blank."
"It's yours." He explained giving me a pen from a small stone box that was on the table.
"Mine?"
