Andy's P.O.V

"Yo, wake up." I heard a voice in between my dreams. It interrupted my sleep.

I moaned and turned around hugging Michelle tight in my arms. All I wanted to do was go to sleep further. It was so comforting after these hard emotional days I had been living.

"Bro just wake up." The voice said again.

"Ash go away." Michelle murmured from in between my arms. A small chuckle escaped my lips at the similarities in betwen Michelle and I.

"The fucking food is ready!" C.C squealed entering the room.

I opened my eyes reluctantly and saw them both standing by the bed where I was. I gave them an expression of disaproval.Michelle sat up on the bed biside me and mirrored my expression.

"You said you were hungry when we went to prepare dinner and now it's ready, so get your lazy ass out of bed and come out to the front." Ashley stared.

"We made food!" C.C added going over to Michelle and pulling her out of bed.

She groaned a bit but let C.C get her out of bed. He took her by the hand and ran with her out the exit.

"Slow down!" She complained holding her head with her right hand. C.C didn't obey however and dragged her out of the room in a rush.

I wiped my eyes to get rid of the sleep and followed Ashley out to the cold night sky.

It was chilly out and the full moon hung high in the night sky. Stars surrounded the moon in a decorative dance expressing somethign I didn't understand. Happiness? Sorrow? My heart hurt a little.

I shook it off and sat down next to Michelle in front of the small campfire they had arranged.

"How the fuck did you manage to make fire?" I asked.

"Like the olden times. Two sticks." Ashley chuckled leaning down and stirring the pot on top of the fire. There were beans in there. They smelled good.

Michelle's P.O.V

I reached over and interlaced my fingers with Andy's. He was warm under my touch. It helped the harsh cold wind that was flying all around us calm down.

I leaned my head against Andy's shoulder and felt him take a deep breath. I don't know what it was but since the war he hasn't been himself. I understand him though. We had lost a member and I knew that he felt responsible.

I had to make him understand that it wasn't his fault and this was all just another casualty of life. There's nothing we could've done about it.

With my free hand I rubbed his shoulder and brought a smile to my face. He mirrored the expression but I could see it in his eyes that he wasn't over it.

"It was not your fault." I whispered close to his ear.

He tensed under my touch at my sentence and looked at me. "But I brought her out here."

Ashley looked up from the pot and frowned at Andy. "I could tell you felt guilty." He said. "Michelle's right, it wasn't your fault."

I saw the struggle inside Andy as he looked around at us. "But I brought her out here and made her fight just to watch her die."

"You made her?" I asked. "Andy, you didn't make her do anything. She chose to come and fight. She with her own mind though it was best to travel here and fight for what she thought was best." I explained. "Don't think you're guilty."

"She's right. You didn't put a gun to her head and forced het to fight for you. She died honorably and there was nothing that you could've done to prevent her death." Ashley said putting the pot aside, away from the fire.

Andy relaxed a bit thanks to Ashley's words and smiled again. I placed a kiss on his temple to calm his nevers and guilt. I think it worked because he let out a sigh.
"I just felt really bad for her friends because they came out here wanting victory but went home with a missing member." Andy said. "But thanks for the words of encouragement. I think I feel better." We smiled at him in an attempt to lighten his mood.

"Let's eat, man! I'm hungry!" Chuppy groaned from his spot on the floor.

We all chuckled as Ash got the beans from the pot and a couple of meat strips he had cooked from before. We didn't have plates so we just dug in with our hands.

"Hey can someone explain to me what happened when I was gone?" Andy said suddenly.

I looked up from my meat and stared at him. "The battle?" He nodded.

"You killed the leader." Ash said simply. "End of story."

Andy shook his head. "No. I mean, what did you guys do when I was gone?"

I spoke up first before Ash or C.C could say anything. I kind of felt like Andy would be worried if I told him what had actually happened in the battle with me. So I wanted to soften it all up before one of the guys said the truth.

"Well for me, when a F.E.A.R guard approached me I did what you had told me and stood fearless. He tried to put F.E.A.R in me but I pushed it away until I saw him weaken and then kneed the ballsack followed by a stab to the heart with his own staff." I said smiling at C.C and Ash.

They understood what I had done quickly and nodded at me. I sighed slightly, in relief and watched how Andy nodded at me in content.

"You brave little fucker." Andy said kissing me quickly but passionately. The best kind of kiss.

As Ashley and Chuppy explained their own experiences I sat there next to Andy and tought about what had really happened during battle.

Yes it was true that I had stood fearless. And yes it was true that F.E.A.R had tried to inflict pain in me. But what I didn't tell Andy is that I had gone to the realm.

When I was in though, I didn't know it. I thought it was my own brain playing tricks on me but I know it was more than just that.

While in the realm I had seen horrors that not even my worst nightmares could've depicted.

First it was my family dying. My mom, dad, and siblings being killed my F.E.A.R while I was helplessly stuck in that goddamn F.E.A.R church.

Then I had seen Andy and the guys getting killed one by one by the guards. Ashley had been stabbed, C.C had been shot to death beyond recognition, Jinxx had been hung.

My stomach turned as I remembered the whimpers that came out of Jinxx's mouth as he struggled to free himself from the noose. He didn't succeed.

Jake had been attacked with an axe by a F.E.A.R guard to the point where his head was no longer attached to his body.

But Andy.

Andy had been killed by my own hands. I cringed a little but quickly recovered. I saw a F.E.A.R guard holding a gun to my head and forcing me to choose in between my life's or Andy's.

Now, in real life I would've chosen Andy's life. But in this alternate universe I chose my own and with tears in my eyes, I had brought down the guillotine on Andy's neck.
