Michelle's P.O.V

After discussing about what my abilities could possibly be about in the meeting room, I decided to have some rest since it was getting dark out.

My brain was sore, if that is possible, of all the training and I needed some sleep. So, I said goodnight to the men and dismissed myself into my room.

Usually I don't like sleeping. I mean think about what sleeping is. You lay unconscious in a bed for at least eight hours without any knowledge of what's happening around you. You're just laying there sleeping with the world just happening around you.

I know it's necessary for the human body to sleep but imagine all the things we could do if we didn't sleep. We'd have the whole night to ourselves. To doing productive things.

But tonight was an exception. Tonight I really did want to sleep. I needed to sleep or I was going to pass out.

I went into my room and took of my boots. I hadn't got around to cleaning them and they were still gray instead of the black they were supposed to be.

I jumped on the bed with a little less shame this time. I mean now that Andy and I were dating it was going to be less awkward to sleep in the same bed. Now, hopefully we could cuddle at night or something instead of laying with our backs to eachother in complete awkwardness.

I covered myself with the sheets and snuggled into my pillow. Andy said he would come as soon as he was done with the part of the plan he was working on. Maping the journey out to the survivor camps.

I expected him to be here in a minute or two seeming that Jinxx had already worked on that part and Andy was just finishing up. I wanted to get some sleep.
.-.

I turned around once again and repositione my head on the pillow. About four hours ago I had come into this room wanting to fall asleep and haven't been able to do it since then.

My head is pounding. I physically need sleep. Plus Andy's not even here yet. He can't still be working on the plan, can he?

I groaned in annoyance and turned around again. Why was it so hard to fall asleep? I am so freaking tired, it shouldn't even be that hard.

I closed my eyes and started to breath slow and steady, clearing my head from all thought both good and bad.

That seemed to work whenever I couldn't fall asleep back home, but after a couple minutes of trying without result, I gave up.

Cool. Now I was sleepy, in emotional exhaustion, and alone.

I sat up on the bed and frowned at the door. Was Andy really still working? I think he should start taking it easy. I don't mean to say that he shouldn't work hard on this new project at hands but he's always working hard.

It worries me that he works himself to the bone, until he can't work no more.

I decided to go on a midnight adventure and threw the covers aside. The floor was cold against my bare feet and sent a chill throughout my whole body.

I shiver and decided to take one of the blankets with me, just incase. I wrapped it around my shoulders and pushed the door open with my foot, trying not to make to much noise.

The hallway was pitch black with no sign of light. It was kind of confusing but I worked hard to remember my way around the place. Plus, my aura gave off a nice red glow, helping me see a little bit.

I turned the corner and saw the big door leading to the meeting room slightly open. There was a small warm light coming from the inside. That and a tiny but present blue glow.

I rolled my eyes at that persistent weirdo. He had to be working at this time. Working to save all of us. Working to save all he knew.

Hopefully he would be asleep in that chair he had been sitting in for the past hours.

I pushed open the door with my foot and peeked into the room. Of course he wasn't asleep, he was sitting there making faces at a piece of paper.

He looked up suddenly at the notice of my presence. "Michelle? Why are you awake?" He whispered.

"Why are you awake?" I asked in the same whispered voice he had used.

Obviosly the rest of the boys had given up for the day and had went to their rooms, but Andy was still here. I gave him a sideways look as I sat on the closest chair.

"I'm working on a plan so that the journey to and from the camp is efficient and fast." Andy said as he returned to face the piece of paper. "I need someone to go and get the rebels in a way where we are unnoticed and quick but well protected at the same time. Yet I need good protection to stay here too because... because we need it. We can't leave this building unprotected."

I watched him stress and then crumple the piece of paper he had been staring at. With a quick flick of his wrist he threw it on the floor into a pile of other several pieces of crumpled paper.

His hands flew up to his face and covered it in frustration. My heart twisted a little at the sight of him feeling this way.

I stood up and walked over to a chair nearest to him and sat down, leaning my head on his shoulder. He leaned his head on the top of mine and sighed.

"Why don't you take a break and come to the room?" I asked him.

He tensed a bit at my question. "Not like that Andy. I mean sleep. Why don't you take a nap and try it again tomorrow?"

He straightened back up and looked me in the eyes. "I can't. I want to figure this out first okay?"

"But aren't you tired?"

"Yeah I guess." He sighed. "But that's no excuse for me to stop working. This is really important."

"Andy, I know it's really important but hero's rest too you know." I tried to convince him. "And besides, you're always working hard for us all. Let the guys help you in the morning. Everything will be fine."

"We can't be so sure."

"Of course we can't. Life is all one big uncertainty." I smiled. "But you can't work yourself like this."

He sighed and hugged me, taking me by surprise. I hugged him back, resting my head on his shoulder.

"I'm scared." He whispered.

I tensed a bit at his words. Finally he was opening up. And it was scary. Hearing this big bad leader of us tell us he was scared.

But for both his and my sake I smiled and hugged him tight. "So am I." I whispered into his ear.
