Andy's P.O.V

I woke up with Michelle in my arms, wrapped up in the blanket she had worn around her shoulders the night before on the floor of the meeting room.

She was snuggled against my chest shaking slightly as a breeze came in through the door. I held her closer and kissed the top of her head.

Last night she had failed at convincing me to go to the room with her and sleep, so we ended up working on the plan together until we fell asleep.

I know that all she wants is the best for me, but she has to understand that this is paramount. I don't want to push her away but if I don't figure this out, it could be the end of everything we know.

It's going to be worth the sleepless nights and stressful personal fights. In the end when we're sitting back and thinking about how we defeated F.E.A.R once again, this will all be worth it.

I know she doesn't want me to beat myself down over this but I don't know another way around it.

I want to be strong for myself, for her. I want to be the person she goes to when she's afraid. But I am so afraid myself. It's hard.

I looked down at her and smiled. She was looking back at me with those sparkling brown eyes. A smile was displayed on her lips as she gazed at me in the morning light.

"Good morning." I whispered, my words blowing the hair off of her eyes.

"Good morning Andy." She replied. "How did you sleep?"
My heart squeezed as I decided whether or not to tell her the truth. I had fallen asleep because my body had physically shut itself down, so my slumber wasn't quite healing last night.

I had slept because my body had forced me to, or else I wouldn't have stopped working.

She caught something in my eyes and pulled her eyebrows together slightly. "The truth."

I sighed. "Forced. Stressful." I listed knitting my eyebrows.

She closed her eyes and pressed her face on to my shirt. I kissed the top of her head as I wished I had lied to her.

"Mine was the same." Her muffled words came from my chest.

I smiled a patetic smile at her as I took one of my famous big breaths. "Being forced and stressful together is better than being forced and stressful alone, don't you think?"

She chuckled and pulled herself out of the embrace, rolling on to her back. "I guess so." She whispered at the ceiling.

"And you said you wouldn't borrow the meating room." Chuppy said from the door.

I didn't understan what was going on but Michelle's cheeks got as red as a cherry tomato. She stuck her tongue out at C.C and stood up.

"We were just sleeping." She said pushing C.C playfully in the shoulder.

"Mhm." C.C said wiggling his eyebrows. "Say what you want but we both know the truth."

"I know the truth but I don't think you do." She said avoiding my look.

"What's going on?" I asked in a slight chuckle. "What's this meeting room talk?"

C.C smiled. "Oh you know what you two did in here."

"Sleep?"

"You too? Come on Andy, I'm not a kid anymore."

"Are you sure?" Michelle and I asked simultaneously.

Jinxx and Ashley came into the room with Jake on their tail as I picked up the blanket we had slept on. I was folding it as Jinxx asked me about the crumpled pieces of paper on the floor.

I looked at the small mountain and shrugged. "Work. Failed work."

"Failed work?" Ashley asked with a raised eyebrow.

"That's what he calls it. We worked all night until we fell asleep because he wouldn't quit on it." Michelle explained as she came over to me and rubbed my shoulders.

Ashley gave me a look and returned it telling him we'd talk about it later. He nodded once and moved on.

"Did you get anywhere?" Jinxx asked.

Before I could answer Michelle did. "He says we didn't but I have some stuff to show you guys."

Michelle, Jinxx, and Jake walked over to the space on the table where Michelle and I had been working last night and started discussing somethings about some notes.

Ashley motioned for me to follow him and slipped out of the room. I gave Michelle a look and motioned that I'd be leaving but would come back soon. She nodded and kept talking to Jinxx.

I slipped out and found Ashley in the middle of the hallway. I approached him and cocked an eyebrow.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Sleeping together, rubbing your shoulders, holding hands?" He asked obviously taking about Michelle and I.

I felt a blush on my face turning my cheeks from a snowy white to a darker shade of pink. Ashley noticed and smiled.

"You asked her to be your girlfriend? Didn't you?" Ashley whispered slapping my shoulder. I nodded as Ashley did a little dance of victory, I guess. "Finally! You took so long to tell her how you felt. How was it?"

"Average. I'm not the best speaker so it was fucking awkward but she made it better and told me she felt the same way. Then I straight up asked her and she said yes." A memory of us sitting against the rock came into my head and gave me a shiver.

"That's awesome, man. I'm glad you maned up." He pated me on the back and we both walked back to the meeting room.
