Andy's P.O.V

We were about twenty feet north of the building when we finally started talking to each other. Talk about an awkward silence.

"So where are the guys today?" She asked tucking a strand of hair behid her ear.

"C.C, Jinxx, and Ashley went to go get food at the church ruins because we have officially run out." I explained. "And Jake, as always, is in his bedroom."

"Does he ever really come out of there?"
I thought about it for a while. "No, he doesn't really come out unless it's completely necessary."

"Haven't you guys thought about doing something about it? It's quite unhealthy for him to be in there all the time." She said looking back at the house.

I nodded. "Yeah I know but we haven't really gotten far. He's stubborn."

"Well I think we should do something about it." She said with confidence.

"You mean like you and I?"

"Yeah."

"Today?"

"Do you want to?" She asked.

I smiled. It could be a great idea to get Jake out of his room now and then. Learn what his abilities can do or just talk about the weather or something. I haven't seen him in quite a while.

But I'm also afraid he'll get mad at us because he has clearly told us in the past that he doesn't want to be bothered.

Who knows? Maybe we'll find out what his abilities are when he uses them against us...

"Yeah okay, let's do it." I finally decided. How bad could it be?

She smiled wider than I had ever seen her smile and slapped me a high five. "Awesome!" She said.

I smiled in response to her enthusiasm and kept walking forward.

Talking to her was hard, I have to be honest about that. What could I talk to her about? The weather? That's lame.

About each other? We already did that and what good did that do? We kissed and then didn't talk to each other for what seemed like an eternity.

I swear, I am the most socially awkward person in this entire world.

"How does the food stuff work?" Michelle asked to my relief. Usually when I don't have anything to say, she saves me.

"What do you mean?"

"Is there food just laying around in the church ruins?" She asked. "Like an upside down fridge full of yogurt?"

I chuckled. "No, we sort of just go and look around in hopes that the F.E.A.R guards left food behind or brought some with them when they're trying to repair the church."

She stopped dead in her tracks and looked up at me in confusion. "Trying to repair the church?"

"Yeah, we suspect that's what they're doing." I said. "Not one hundred percent sure, but it's a theory."

"Have you seen any F.E.A.R guards around?"

"No." Lie. Yes I have. A long time ago before I found her in the ruins, I was looking for food and I saw a guard.

The guard didn't see me but I saw him alright. And then the vision I had. Or at least what I assume was a vision of a F.E.A.R. guard.

But I can't tell her that. Not yet.

She sighed in relief. "Well just as long as we don't see any guards I think we're okay."

"Yeah, we'll be okay." It felt more like I was trying to make myself feel better rather than reassuring her.

We resumed walking and her smiled returned to her face, making me feel better about all of this.

Michelle's P.O.V

We kept walking and I put on a smile for the sake of keeping this less awkward. That F.E.A.R thing was eating me up. It honestly didn't give me a good vibe.

Andy seemed to be pretty good about it so I decided not to worry much. After all, he is our leader and if he's okay with this, then so am I.

I looked up at him and fixed on his features. He was glowing again, giving him an angelic quality. God he was great.

My stomach started jumping around and I started at it aggressively. It better calm itself down or I was going to do something about it.

"Why are you looking at your stomach like that?" Andy asked in amusement.

I felt a pang in my chest and turned to him. "It feels funny. I think it must be the hunger." I lied.

He sighed staring down at his own stomach. "Same. My stomach has not shut up in a while." He said with a smile. "But don't worry because the guys will be here with food in a while." Andy reassured.

I smiled up at Andy. It seemed like he took it in his hands to make everyone around him feel safe. He ended up eating all of his fear, worry and anger to keep all of us okay.

I really admired him for it but it also left me with so many questions. What was he afraid of? Was there something going on that we didn't know about?

He's such a closed person, and even though I know that's the safest way to go, I am beyond curious.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked me suddenly.

I knew he was trying to start an innocent conversation with me but he had caught me off guard. I wasn't about to tell him what I really was thinking about, so I lied.

"I was thinking about the guys. How different they are and all. Ashley's a flirt, C.C is crazy, Jinxx is incredibly serious yet funny and Jake is nowhere to be seen." I said. "And then there's you."

"And then there's me." He repeated.

"Yeah. You."

"What about me?" He asked, completely pushing me over my limit of social abilities.

"You're different. A leader, not a follower and always there for everyone." I said in complete honesty. "Like I said before, you don't give yourself enough credit."

He shrugged a bit but didn't stop walking. "I guess I just don't see it."

I snorted. "Ever heard of a mirror?" I asked sarcastically.

He chuckled a bit but shrugged again. "Very funny." He said with a smirk. "You know what I mean."I laughed too but gave up on the case.

"Wanna sit down by that rock?" He asked pointing at a big boulder to my right.

A/N:
Okay so I know it's been like four days since I've updated but it's just that I've had a horrible case of writer's block. :p Well that and the fact that I've been watching a lot of Dan and Phil on YouTube lately.

But if you did like this chapter or any of my previos ones, please vote and comment. :)
