Andy's P.O.V
"Stop it Chupps!" Michelle said as she pushed C.C back playfully.
I looked up from my stone and immediately regreted my decision. I'm starting to think that Ashley's right and C.C's trying to make a move on Michelle.
"Hey Andy!" C.C called as both him and Michelle jogged to the piles of rubble. "Trying to beat my score?"
"I guess." I mummbled without thinking. You know, usually I'm really good at masking my emotions but when it comes to this girl, I swear it all goes to hell.
"Are you okay?" C.C asked. "Distressed because you can't match my pile?" He teased, raising his eyebrows up and down.
I wanted to know what was going on in between Christian and Michelle but I wasn't sure how to approach this. I wanted to get C.C alone so that Michelle wouldn't be disturbed but... how?
"Oh! Damn it! I remember now! Um, Michelle could you please look for my pocket knife? It's inside my chest in our room." I lied quickly.
There was no pocket knife. I mean I barely had freaking clothes, you think I was going to have a pocket knife?
"Yeah sure, no problem." Michelle said with a smile, like I knew she would. "I'll be back!"
Once Michelle had disappeared into the building, I looked at C.C seriously. He knew something was up because his trademark smile was replaced by a confused tilt of the head.
I didn't want him to feel scared or anything. Or like he had done something wrong, so I tried smiling softly but it turned out like a grimace.
"Andy, are you feeling okay?" He asked putting a hand on my shoulder.
I sighed. "I don't know how to do this, man." I said honestly. "I just wanna talk to you."
"Okay dude, let's talk."
"But not here. Let's go to the grass patch."
"But Michelle's gonna come back with your pocket knife here. Since when do you-"
"There is no pocket knife, come on I'll explain back here."
C.C nodded and we walked together to the grass patch before Michelle could come outside empty handed.
I had no idea how I was going to ask so I just jumped right in.
"So, I've noticed that you and Michelle have been hanging out in your room all day for the past couple of days."
C.C took a small step back and starting scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah."
Damn it.
"So, I mean... I don't mean to be like... accusing you of anything or whatever, but what exactly are you two doing in there?" I asked.
C.C seemed uneasy to answer. "Why?"
A smile quivered on his lips. "Are you jealous?"
Instantly, and without a warning, I felt a mixture of anger, embarrasement, and jealousy run through me.
"Listen Christian, I don't want to come off as some possesive bastard but you well know what I saw in that vision." I said with an unnecessary amount of force in my tone. "And if you think it's funny to go ahead and try to steal her away from her me, then you are dead wrong."
C.C's smile gave in and he started to laugh. "You think I'm trying to get with Michelle?!"
At the sight of him laughing like that I realized how stupid I had been for thinking that Chuppy would do such a thing. We've all been best friends for the longest time now and to think that he would do something to intentionally hurt me is so stupid.
"I just..."
"Andy don't be ridiculous!" C.C said giving me a reassuring hug. "It's really cute that you have feelings for Michelle but you ever think I would do something like that."
A sense of relief washed over me as I relaxed and hugged C.C back. "Okay. I'm sorry."
C.C stepped back. "Don't worry."
"Hey, so then what are you guys doing in there?"
"That's a secret Andy, but don't worry about it. It's all good." He said with a wink.
I wasn't sure yet on why C.C wasn't willing to tell me what was going on inside his room.
I stopped looking at him to avoid the idea of rushing him with a whole bunch of accusing questions.
"Okay then, let's go back before Michelle comes back." I said with a smile that was half sincere, half uneasy.
