Michelle's P.O.V
Again for the people in the back. I AM THE RECRUITER. I can identify rebels by their glow and buzz and can indenity what normal people are good at with simple physical contact. I recruit people to the teams they belong in.
Now the moments are bittersweet because I can do so much yet, we are slowly counting down the minutes to the F.E.A.R uprising.
I am dying of suspense.
But again about my abilities, after figuring out that that boy Phil could run, he's been sprinting and training to become faster and more agile.
Finally. I feel like I'm useful.
I'm just taking a quick break from training to write this down for future rebels. I have to go back and help the guys recruit.
-Michelle .-.
I closed the journal and threw it in its usual place under the mattress. After Andy told me the news I decided to run into my room and write it all down.
For the first time in such a long while I finally felt needed again. So I got up from my spot and walked to the meeting room to recruit more survivors. Got to use this feeling of being useful.
Jinxx and Andy were reading from the book of F.E.A.R to a group of survivors, about six kids in the lot. They taught their strong parts and their weakest links.
Andy winked when he saw me coming in through the door. I returned it with a smile.
Jake was with C.C and another group of survivors, about ten. Jumping jacks, sprints, squats, push ups, and sit ups. It was all about the physical exercise in this corner. I got to work with C.C. We had our own little group of about nine boys and girls.
"Hello Mrs. Recruiter." C.C winked with a smile.
The smile on my face grew a couple of inches as I approached him and our group of students. Knowing my abilities was a huge advantage at this point in the story. Not only could I help train the survivors but I could possibly even fight against F.E.A.R.
"Hello Mr. Destroyer. Let's get started." My voice had a little bit more excitement than I meant for it to have but I rolled with it. I mean we were practically in the middle of the apocalypse.
C.C nodded and motioned for one of the survivors to move foreward. The girl did as asked and took a step in my direction. Her brown eyes were nervous as my hand made its way to her face.
I gave her a reassuring smile in hopes it would tell her everything was going to be fine. She seemed to comprehend and gave me a small nod as my hand connected with her soft, cool cheek.
My vision did that weird thingy and pictures flooded my mind. Books, brains, escape plans, and blue prints. She was a mastermind. A complete strategy creater.
"You're really smart and clever." I said as my hand returned to my side and my vision and mind cleared.
She gave me a small blush. "A strategic mastermind." I murmured. "What's your name?" I asked.
"Lydia." She answered confidently. I liked her attitude.
I gave her a smile. "I think you should go talk to Andy when you're done with today's exercise and F.E.A.R stuff, okay? You could help with the strategic moves on the battle field."
She gave me a nod and the boy next to her approached me.
"Name?" I asked.
"Dan." He said with a wink.
"Okay Dan, let's so what you've got." My hand went up and connected with his forehead.
Images of punches, kicks, and bloody knuckles came into a view. I shook my head as if the images would just splat out of my head with a simple shake. My vision returned and I smirked at Dan.
As was expected. "Strong, Dan. I see kicks and bloody knuckles. You're a fighter. I think Chuppy can work with you." I said pointing at Chuppy with my thumb. C.C gave him a salute and told him to stay with him.
I stared as the next boy approached me.
Andy's P.O.V
I looked over at Michelle as she touched the third guy on the face. Her eyes rolled back as they glowed sort of like mine did when I had a prophecy. I felt so proud.
She had grown both mentally and emotionally. I knew she didn't feel useful until now. Until she found out she could do all of these wonderful things.
Bittersweet. Definitely bittersweet.
I didn't want her to die. Yes, I know it's something logical but I really don't want her to leave me. Leave us.
I saw her and tried to picture her in the battlefield. I tried to picture her fighting with me against the forces of our enemy and cringed. It's not that I didn't think she could help us in battle, but I was scared.
What if something stupid happened and one of us couldn't protect her? What if F.E.A.R. got to her before I did?
My mind was one big uncertainty that was followed up by death. Death is inevitable but it doesn't have to come so quick to us. I don't want her to die.
I repeat. I don't want her to die. I don't want any of us to die. I'm not emotionally prepared for a loss.
"Andy?" Jinxx asked.
I snapped out of the daydream and looked away from Michelle to Jinxx. "Yes?"
