bit of a short chapter tonight. next one is a filler chapter because we need more off-the-script chapters :)

Jenny, Sam, Dean waited as the janitor locked a gate with a key attached to his belt. The three hunters followed the demigod up a staircase, listening to what he had to say.

"Sorry I'm dragging a little ass today, guys. Had quite the night last night." He chuckled, turning to look at him. "Lots of sex, if you catch my drift."

Jenny raised her brows at him, nodding awkwardly. "Yep. Drift has been caught."

"Yeah, hard not to catch it Listen, we won't be long." Dean signaled to Sam behind the tricksters back. "We just need to check a couple offices up on three."

"No problem." The janitor nodded, Sam cleared his throat.

"I, uh, forgot something in the truck. You know what? I'll catch up with you guys." Jenny gave Sam a thumbs up, watching him dash off as the other three began ascending the stairs again.

"So, it must have been difficult to find that professors body, yeah?" Jenny asked the janitor, trying to hide the uncomfortable feeling in her stomach.

The janitor shrugged, sighing. "I guess so. I've dealt with it, moved on." Jenny looked to Dean, giving him a suggestive look as he nodded.

"Just 'cause he reads the Weekly World News doesn't mean he's our guy. I mean, you read it, too." Sam said as he showed the newspaper in his hand. Jenny shook her head as they stood outside of the building.

"I'm telling you, it's him." Dean stated, but Sam still looked skeptical.

"Look, I just think we need some hard proof. That's all."

"Well, every time I've been around something supernatural, I get a weird feeling in my gut. Is that enough? Because my gut is right 100 percent of the time." Jenny faked a smile, and Sam gave her a bitchface. Dean sighed.

"Okay, another thing Jenny and Bobby mentioned was that these suckers have a metabolism like an insect, a real sweet tooth." He explained, Sam shook his head.

"Well, I didn't find any candy bars or sugar. Not even Equal." Jenny slapped her hand on her thigh, biting her nail as she thought.

"Eh, that's probably 'cause you missed something." Dean shrugged, Sam glaring at him.

"I don't miss things."

"Oh, right, 'cause you're Mr. Perfect." Dean snapped as Jenny rubbed her eyes.

"Will you guys stop fighting. It's giving me a damn headache." She complained, rubbing her head as a slight pain crossed it.

"Are you sure it's us? Or is the trickster around?" Sam spat, Jenny slowly looking up at him with a cold stare.

"Better watch it, Sam. Quit being a tight ass." Dean glared at his brother, who crossed his arms. Jenny continued to rub her temple, turning away for a moment. "You alright, Jen?"

She nodded. "Yeah. It's just— Jesus Christ this is a wicked headache." Sam and Dean exchanged a look, having the same thought. Jenny sucked in a breath, shaking her head.

"Jen maybe you should sit for a second." Dean led Jenny to the stairs, helping her sit as she rested her head in her hands. "You're not getting visions, too, are you?"

"No. No I'm not but holy shit this hurts." Jenny blinked rapidly, hoping it would ease the pain.

"Look, just... Dean, stay here with Jenny, keep an eye on the janitor. I'll go to his place to see if I can find any actual evidence before you go barging in and staking the man! Just wait till I get back, okay? Okay?" Sam asked as he started to walk off, Dean waving his hand as he gripped Jenny's shoulder.
