Jenny felt as if something was wrong as she sat at the table with her parents and brother. She looked at Nathaniel, eyeing him curiously as he slurped at his drink. He side-eyed her, then frowned.

"What?"

"Can you not slurp your drink?" Nate slurped it more. "Nate—" Again. "Nate stop we are in a restaurant —"

"Alright you two." Phoebe laughed, Nate setting his drink down. "Jen, why don't you tell me about this new case you're working on?" Her mother asked whilst cutting into her chicken.

Jenny stared at it for a moment, silent. "Jenny?" Henry frowned, worried. "Earth to Jennifer?"

"Sorry. Uhm— Yeah. So this guy uptown was killed in a hit and run. Not to be gruesome during dinner but it was not the prettiest sight to see." She chuckled, cutting into her own meal. "Anyways, so this guy has some tire tracks on him that only match this specific kind of car— A Shelby GT 500. Beautiful car. Honestly if I had a car like that I would try and avoid killing people with it."

"You're getting side tracked, Jenny-B." Henry laughed quietly, which only caused Jenny to laugh.

"Right. So, there were only, like, 3 sales of this car in a 100 mile radius of here, so it was easy to narrow it down. Found out it was the old drunk dude that killed the guy. Boom, case closed, I win CSI of the year." Jenny joked as she bit into her chicken, Henry and Phoebe nodding in a congratulations.

As Jenny went to take another bite of her chicken, she paused, feeling a set of eyes staring her down. She sat up a little straighter, looking around in confusion until she spotted a very handsome man staring at her with wide eyes. She smiled at him a little awkwardly and he waved at her from under his table. She gave him a small wave back. The woman next to the ma turned to him, her smile fading as she saw that he was staring at Jenny.

Jenny quickly turned back to her family, now awkward. After a few minutes, Jenny excused herself, walking towards a hallway towards the bathrooms.

"Jen. Jennifer." Jenny spun around, seeing the same man walking towards her quickly. She suddenly backed away, eyes wide and hands raised in surrender.

"How do you know my name? Who are you?" She asked, raising her voice slightly. The man raised his hands up to show he didn't mean any harm, scoffing slightly.

"Jen, it's me. Dean." Jenny gave him a confused look. "Winchester? We used to be buddies when we were kids?" Jenny's confused look hardened. "Uhm... Bobby Singer and his wife used to babysit us?"

"Oh, I remember that! Holy shit I never thought I'd see you again! I didn't know you lived in Lawrence!" Dean smiled in what looked like relief, gesturing to her.

"I didn't know you did either. You look—" Dean cut himself short, realizing something. "You look amazing, Jenny. Really." Dean was mostly staring at her hair, which was pinned up into a curled ponytail, revealing her neck, which didn't have the large scar. Another thing that was weird.

"Thank you. You don't look half bad yourself." She smirked, shrugging. "I'm just here to visit my brother, Nate. He just graduated from med school. He's going to be a surgeon." Dean's brows raised, nodding.

"Really? Wow that's great for him. And uh— what do you do?"

"I'm a CSI up in Montana. Best in the midwest." She joked, laughing quietly as Dean smiled.

"A CSI? I see it." Jenny held her smile, and Dean turned to look at her table. "So, your parents came to visit, too?"

"Yeah! Well, no. They live around the area. But I wanted to get out of Kansas. Don't get me wrong, I love this place, but I've always wanted to live up north where it's colder." Dean put his hands in his pockets, nodding in understanding. "Anyways, what about you? What do you do?"
