GERARD
The room was supposed to be the regular family room that we always got whenever we we're here. But we we're in a different hotel.
Hindi ang pag-aari ng pamilya. Wala daw vacant room sa hotel namin. So, okay, but something was off.
There were two custom size beds in the room. And there was no other room inside the unit. Normally, we'll get a family room with a few bedrooms.
This is crazy!
Hinarap ko si mommy na inaakbayan pa rin ni daddy. Malapit sila sa pinto at kami ni Annie ay nasa gilid at nakatingin sa dalawang kama.
There was a table with drawers in the middle of two beds with two night lamps pointing on each bed, aside from the side tables on either side of each bed.
I talked to my dad in front of my mom. "Do you know this?"
Umiling siya, with one brow on the rise. "Not really."
Sabay kaming tumingin kay mommy.
She pouted.
I crossed my arms on my chest. Kailangan ko ng paliwanag.
She looked away, parang may hinahanap sa paligid.
"Mom, why there are two humongous, enormous, and bigger than california king-size beds here?"
She answered with equally rising brows. "Siyempre, kasya ba tayo sa isang kama?"
"No, but do we have to have the beds in the same room?"
"Wala na silang available na king size bed kung hindi ito."
I can't believe this!
Si daddy ay nakataas na ang dalawang kilay at hinuhuli ang mga mata ni mommy.
But my mother kept on looking somewhere else.
I looked at Annie, nakatingin pa rin siya sa kama.
"Are you good with this dad?" I asked my father.
He just shrugged and looked at Annie. "Are you okay with this Annie?"
Napatingin siya kay daddy. "Paano po, s-sino ang tabi?"
Si mommy ang sumagot. "Siyempre kayo ni Gerard at kami ng asawa ko."
She turned to me. "D-depende po kay Gerard, Tita."
"Don't worry about him, gustong gusto niya 'yan."
Pinandilatan ko si mommy.
Tumikhim si Annie. "Eh, you don't understand. May nagawa po ako kagabi, b-baka po magawa ko ulit tapos nandito kayo."
