Chapter 56

"Haan chal abhi paka mat samjhi phone rakh" Sidharth scoffed.

"Pakata tu hai gadha"she snapped back cutting off the face time.

"Aayi badi huh!!" he murmured turning around to find the room empty. Nobody was there, he was so into fighting with Neetu that he didn't realize when everyone left the room.

"Moooom....... Shehnaaaaz?" he went downstairs, they were engrossed in there movie with the lights off and some snacks to munch on. He noticed it was a horror movie, Shehnaaz was clinging on the Rita ji and Coco was literally under the couch, scared but was watching anyways.

"Jab horror movie se itni fatti hai toh kyu dikhti hai yeh? pagal" he talked to himself shaking his head out of disbelief.

He smirked as an mischievous idea struck his mind, of course he was planning on scaring the hell out of her. How can he ever miss a chance of teasing her? Taking slow steps towards them, he quietly stood behind her waiting for the right time. The moment ghost appears in the movie behind the actor grabbing his neck, Sidharth did the same to her "Aahhh!!!" he bellowed right beside her ear grabbing her neck.

"Ammaaaa!!" Shehnaaz screamed her lungs out, Rita was was startled but noticed her son laughing behind them. She was glowering at him now. Next thing Shehnaaz started weeping holding Rita ji, "Nahi beta bas bache..... koi ny hai, yeh tera pati tha tereko darane aaye tha.... dekh piche kaise besharam ke jaise hass raha hai" she was looking daggers at him as he looked away holding on to his laugh, she was holding on to her in an attempt to calm her down.

"Nahi hai yeh mera pati, aise kon darata hai maa? usko pata hai mujhe darr lagta hai" she was sobbing by now.

"Haan toh teri fatti hai toh dekhti kyu hai tu aisi movies?" he chuckled under his breath which didn't when unnoticed by his mom who glared at him.

"Maine ny sona iske sath mai apke sath sou ge aaj" she side - eyed him and hugged maa. She was getting  extra pampering by Rita ji after today's incident.

"Haan beta so ja mere sath koi baat ny" she said.

"Areee koi baat ny matlab kya? Sana yeh kya baat hue yaar mai masti kar raha tha na isme itna bhi kya gussa kar rahi hai?" he admonished her for behaving childish.

"Maine ny sona bas tere sath mai ja rahi hu maa ke sath", "Aree par...." she left with maa leaving him alone in the living room when Coco suddenly appeared from beneath the couch.

"Coco!! mere jaani dushman chor usko tu aaja hum sath mei so jate hai aaj" he said, Coco started moving upstairs. Sidharth thought he was joining him on bed but little did he know Coco went inside his own room and slept on the bed.

"Abey hadd hai yaar..... sabko mere se hi problem hai" he murmured to himself moving inside his room.

He kept on tossing and turning on the bed, the first reason was very obvious that was Shehnaaz, the second one was how he was supposed to find the person who was trying to harm him and his closed ones, particularly Shehnaaz and the third was the vacation. He remembered her once mentioning about her wish to visit the list of places and one that she was most excited about was Dubai. The moment Zoe had suggested him about the "honeymoon/vacation" as they quoted, he knew where they were going. Coaxing her this time will be very easy, he thought as she would get excited forgetting about everything once he mentions about Dubai.

"Koi baat ny baby kar le gussa kal jab tujhe yeh surprise dunga na tab jo tere face par smile hogi, it'll be all worth it" he thought staring at the ceiling and waiting for her to join him on the bed, knowing somewhere at the back of his head that she would come back.

He was half in sleep when Shehnaaz wearily walked into the room sulking and got inside the sheets. Pulling his arms open for her she rested her head on his chest, this woke him up.
