Chapter 14

"Hi Shehnaaz kaise hai?" asked Yuvi surprising her when she was standing at some corner lost in her thoughts, smiling brightly she replied "Hi, mai badhiya tum batao?" Sidharth noticed them conversing and decided to join them.

Seeing Sidharth approaching them she instantly pulled up her poker face. "Bhai bada sahi lag raha hai tu ekdum" Sidharth rested his arms on his shoulder, he was taking to Yuvi but his eyes was stuck on her.

She very well knew this compliment was for her but she pretended to be unaffected and unknown about his presence.

"Tu bhi kam hot ny lag raha bhai iss kurte mei, aaj kise ko patane ka plan hai kya?" Yuvi intentionally brought up this question to get some reaction from her sensing something was off from Shehnaaz's side.

"Haan yaar wahi samjh le" his eyes still stuck at her sulking face while her's was travelling all over except him.

"Madhav aur Zoya kidhar hai Yuvi" Shehnaaz wanted to know about Zoe's absence in the function as she remembered Rita Aunty mentioning that she would call and invite her personally.

"Vo Madhav toh Idhar kahi hoga aur Zoe toh aaah...." He stopped as Sidharth secretly pinched him on his back. Understanding the hint he smartly continued "Aaaa vo nai aayi hai pata ny kyu".

This made her anger reach at it's peak, this man was next level stubborn, even after requesting him, explaining him and lastly even threatening him with 'I will not talk to you ever again' he didn't left his ego and sort things out with her.

"Kuch logo ke na ego kise bhi relationship se badi hoti hai" she taunted shooting fire balls through her eyes staring at him dangerously.

"Yaar logo ko zada he chizen assume karne ka shok hota hai bas jo laga vo maan liya" he too didn't keep quiet this time which annoyed her and she retorted "Yaha logo se bakwase karwa lo kar lenge par ek sorry accept ny kar sakte" her words started hurting him a little which was very well noticed by Yuvi.

He jumped in between trying to clam this fire before it burns everything down, "Bas yaar kya kar rahe ho dono chalo chal kar khana khate hai yaar bohot bhukh lag rahi hai hai na?" he raised his eyebrows excitedly looking at both of them but none of them replied instead they kept on staring at each other as if they were arguing and complaining through their eyes about taking this topic to that extent that it turned into an ugly fight between them.

Her eyes started getting damp as she darted inside the house, "Tu khana kha le mai aata hu" he sighed and trailed behind her inside.
She furiously banged the door shut on his face as he was about to stop her, wagging his tail Coco got excited seeing her as she had left him alone inside the room for a very long time.

She sat down on the bed as the feeling of guilt rushed inside her body remembering how she had banged the door on his face just a minute ago which was actually very insulting. He had followed her inside obviously to talk but she insulted him unknowingly and unintentionally. She was a crying mess by now as the feeling of guilt was eating her up.

Coco did his usual job that was to helplessly lick her face and watch her cry.

After seeing Shehnaaz's behavior, disappointed he went back to his room. The girl he had started developing feelings for had broke his heart today by her misbehavior, she didn't even give him a chance to explain. It was all very funny to him until now when she rudely banged the door on his face shutting him out of her room and somewhere from his life.

Shehnaaz had no idea when she slept sobbing, she was woken up by a call on her phone, she checked the time it was midnight. Who would call her at midnight? Confused she picked up the call and muttered a 'Hello' getting an excited 'Heyyyyy' of Zoe from the other end.

"Zoe?" she smiled recognizing her always such energetic and thrilled voice.

"Shehnaaz thank you thank you thank you so much yaar, You had already forgiven me but this Sid had made me go through hell yaar, he's one of my best friend and I just couldn't afford to lose him." she effused confusing Shehnaaz.

"Haan but tu mujhe thank you kyu bol rahi hai? And does this mean usne tere sath baat kar le?"  she questioned.

"Sana don't lie on this okay, I very well know tumne he bola hai usko to sort things out warna vo shayad he baat karta mere se and sorry I couldn't come today Usne bola tha aaj aane ko but I was out of town abhi ghar aayi hu kal aati hu phir hum sab sath mei holi celebrate kare ge" Zoe went on and on with her talk but Shehnaaz's mind stopped working as she perceived the truth.

This means he had already sorted things out with Zoe and was only joking around to tease, she thought as she felt extremely awful for her attitude.

"Sana hello are you there?" Zoe's voice broke her trance as she felt the fresh stream of tears flowing from her eyes.

"Ha...aan" her voice chocked.

"Are you okay?" concerned, she asked.

"Haan.... I'm... I'm ok Chal bye see you tomorrow" she instantly disconnected the call and pressed her head in between her palms.

How can she be so stupid, yes she was stupid, no matter how hard she tried but she always ended up behaving like a child or reacting like a kid. Now how is she supposed to face him after this, but she'll have to apologise or else she won't be able to sleep the whole night and this guilt was already eating her up from the inside.

She came out of the room deciding she would have a talk right there right now but not before having something to eat as she didn't had her dinner. While she was searching for some food inside the kitchen she felt someone behind her, she turned around to find Suresh their all time house keeper.

"Beta apko kuch chahiye kya? Humko batao hum de dete hai" he smiled.

"Areee koi ny mai dhund lungi, vo na mujhe bhukh lagi thi toh kuch khane ka dhund rahi thi par mil ny raha" she pouted sadly.

"Matlab apne bhi khana ny khaya tha?" he asked getting another question from her side spontaneously

"Maine bhi matlab? aur kisne khana ny khaya?".

"Sidharth sir ne ny khaya na vo toh aise he apne kamre mei chale gai jab ap chali gai thi uske turant baad" he replied making her feel thousand times more wistful.

This means he also didn't had his dinner and with an empty stomach we went to bed.

"Umm toh kuch khane ka hai ya....." she was cut off in between "Haan haan hai na mai abhi garam karke deta hu ek minute rukye" he smiled.

"Toh ap mera aur Sidharth ka dono ka he nikal dijiye ga ek he mei please..... hum sath mei he kha lenge" she politely requested and he did as she told.

After giving herself a prep talk she mustered up some courage and knocked on his bedroom door.
Sidharth had just fell asleep after dragging in 3 or 4 cigarettes to calm his nerves when he heard the knock.

"Sidhaaarrrthhhh" her voice was heard from the other end. He groaned in frustrating and wearily sat up on his bed when a thought striked his mind "What if Shehnaaz needs me". Without thinking for a second he got up and opened the door, seeing Shehnaaz there he worriedly looked at her as a question slept out of his mouth "Shehnaaz are you alright? kuch hua kya?" Her eyes welled up, he was unbelievable, even after getting insulted and heartbroken by her the first question he asked was if she was ok or not.

" I'm Sorry" she whispered when he remembered what had happened, the concern in his eyes changed into disappointment and anger which was very well noticed by her.

"Shehnaaz ja kar so ja please mujhe bhi sone de" his stern tone broke her heart but she knew she deserved it. He turned around laid down on his bed to show her he didn't care and wants her to leave but somewhere he was hoping her to come and coax him.

Shehnaaz was no less, she was determined enough that she'll surely make him accept her apology no matter what.
