"I tell you all the time
Heaven is a place on earth with you"It was a pretty late night for us, because of our busy schedules we completely forgot about the fact we had an early flight today, meaning we didn't end up packing our stuff until last night. So, here we are, running on only five hours of sleep. Thankfully, Ashley offered to drive us to the airport, which we both appreciated.
"Darling, do you have everything?" Elizabeth asked. "Ash just texted me saying she's almost here."
I looked around, quickly grabbing my headphones. "Yep, all set."
We waited for around roughly five minutes before Ashley arrived outside. We both grabbed our things, tiredly making our way outside.
Ashley chuckles, opening the trunk as she helps us put our luggage in. "Late night?"
"You have no idea." I stated. "I really regret booking us a flight this early."
After we successfully put all of our stuff in the trunk, Elizabeth and I sat in the back. I decided to take this chance to lay my head on her shoulder, dozing off into a deep sleep before we arrived at the airport.
I slowly fluttered my eyes open as I felt someone lightly shaking me awake. I had no recollection of us getting on the highway, so I must've been knocked out in the first few minutes. Elizabeth tucks a few strands of hair behind my ear as I awakened, "Baby, we're here."
--
Once we'd gotten our things out of the trunk, we said our goodbyes to Mk before heading inside of the airport. We noticed multiple paparazzi taking numerous pictures, which didn't come as a surprise. Elizabeth slips her glasses on, squeezing my hand as we walked toward check in.
Luckily, it only took us around twenty minutes to get through both check in and security. When we finally made it to our gate, we both took a seat while we waited. Despite my nap, I still found myself extremely exhausted, so I wasted no time to find comfort in my girlfriend's arms.
After waiting for over thirty minutes, we eventually heard our flight being called to board. We quickly grabbed our bags, making our way over to the jet bridge. When they scanned our boarding pass, we headed over to our designated seats.
As they did their usual airport safety talk, I could hardly pay any attention. My nerves were already getting the best of me, which I absolutely hated. I've never liked flying, the thought of being so high in the sky was beyond scary. And turbulence surely didn't help my fear.
I anxiously wiped my clammy hands on my pants, trying to calm myself down. I notice Elizabeth turn her gaze over to me, worry spreading across her face. "Baby, I'm right here." She softly murmurs, putting my headphones on my head.
The sound of her voice itself slowed down my rapid heartbeat, putting me at ease. My lips quickly curled into a smile as I listen the music she put on for me, my favorite song.
As the plane starts to take off, Elizabeth interlocks our fingers, giving it a gentle squeeze as she flashes me a smile. It was the small moments like this that made my heart full. If I could, I would stay in this moment forever.
Eventually, flight attendants gave us our food, and ended up watching a movie that was playing before Elizabeth fell asleep. I placed a quick kiss on her cheek before putting on my neck pillow, preparing myself for the next eight hours.
--
As I slowly awakened, I immediately felt our hands intertwined, along with her laying her head on my shoulder. I could hear her mumbling something incoherent, which made me lightly chuckle. When I checked the time, it was 5 pm, meaning the plane should land in about an hour. I admired Elizabeth peacefully sleeping before placing a quick kiss on her forehead, allowing myself to fall back asleep.
