After multiple days, weeks, and months of secretly planning my proposal with the help of Scarlett and the twins, tomorrow is the day that my life will change. For the better. Three years ago, I had my heart broken, by the very woman I plan to make my wife. But, we were brought back together for a second chance. A new start. And I will forever be grateful for being given that new chance.

One year ago, there wouldn't have ever been a thought in my mind that told me we'd make it this far. When I saw her again in that club, all I saw was a stranger, whom I used to know. The woman who took my heart, and stomped on it. But, it was no coincidence that our paths crossed, or that she brought me back to her home that night. It's crazy how one simple choice can easily determine how your life will go. Like, what if I didn't say yes to Nathanial's offer? What if she never went to the club that night?

Either way, the universe led us to each other for a reason. Because, no matter what happens, we will always gravitate back to each other. Because like I've said many times in my life, whatever souls are made of, hers and mine are the same. And we're connected by what I like to call, love. Six years ago, if you told me I'd be in the place I am now, I'd laugh in your face. I didn't believe in soulmates or miracles, but Liz was definitely one. And I will always cherish her, because it's rare to come across someone that makes you feel such happiness and joy. It's truly magical.

It was a bright, sunny Saturday morning, and I woke up with excitement coursing through my veins. A warm smile immediately appeared on my face when I laid my eyes on her. Liz had one arm draped over my waist, with our fingers intertwined under the blanket. I don't think i'll ever get tired of waking up to this sight.

My gaze quickly found her ring finger, and it didn't take long for me to start imagining how the emerald ring will look on it. And soon later, my mind became filled with thoughts about tomorrow night, of how the outcome will be. Butterflies started to swarm in my heart the more I thought about her becoming my wife. It all feels so surreal, to say the least. And even though it took us five years to get here, in the end, it was all worth it. She's worth it.

I was so deep in thought, I didn't notice she had already woken up until I felt her fingertips caressing my face ever so gently. Her touch was so soft and comforting, it was something I'd wish to feel for an eternity. The room was pure silence, neither one of us said a word as we maintained eye contact. So many emotions flooded my body, and I could feel myself on the verge of tears. And for a quick moment, all of our memories rushed back like waves.

Looking at her was like looking at an angel. Because in my eyes, she was. Liz pulled me out of the darkness and showed me that there was light at the end of the tunnel. She was my light. If I had to even attempt to describe how she makes me feel in words, or her, for that matter, I'd spend the rest of my life looking for the right ones. The fact is, she was truly one of a kind.

In this peaceful silence, I held her as close to me as I possibly could, while our heads rested on one another. After my accident, my previous mindset was proven to be true. Anything can change in the blink of an eye. Good or bad. I made a promise to myself that I will always cherish her, and the memories that we share together. And right now, she was right here, in arms reach. So, I made sure to hold her close, listening to her heartbeat, which confirmed she was right here, living in this moment with me.

Suddenly, she placed a chaste kiss on my knuckles, which made an intense feeling of bliss course through my veins. And once her green eyes met with mine, it was like the whole world stopped. Time stood still in this tranquil moment. Our gaze stayed on each other, and the love that glistened in her eyes made me feel a way I couldn't even begin to describe.
