they had finally reached their end.

this was where they both parted ways. the path had split into two. yeonjun had to go left where as soobin had to turn right.

'it's fine, I will see him tomorrow' yeonjun thought silently.

'this is the last time I will see him...' soobin thought, he didn't want to leave but he had to.

soobin and yeonjun stopped and turned to face eachother.

"well, I'll see you tomorrow soob," yeonjun remarked to him. in response, soobin just nodded his head while staring at his feet. he didn't want to tell the truth, but he knew that yeonjun would find out somehow. soobin was too afraid to tell him.

yeonjun wiped the palm of his hands on his jeans awkwardly, pushed his lips together while swaying from side to side.

yeonjun shyly bowed his head down at the floor in a way to say goodbye. he was about to spin around until someone grabbed his wrist, he was shocked that soobin initiated the first touch. he couldn't help his ears and face from turning red, looking at the also red boy still holding his wrist.

"a-are you okay binnie?" yeonjun softly asked.

he could tell that something was wrong because soobin looked almost uncomfortable like he wanted to say something but there was a person in his mind preventing him from doing so.

"soobin, you know you can tell me anything right?"he reassured, he wanted soobin to feel comfortable and not feel pressured to speak his mind. yeonjun wanted him to feel okay to tell him anything and everything he wanted.

"i'm all ears." there was a small silence before soobin finally spoke his mind.

"c-can i have.." he paused again and yeonjun became a little bit worried for the latter. but nevertheless he waited patiently for him.

"can you have what?" he gently said.

"a- a.. a hug!" he finally pushed his words out and didn't realise he slightly shouted the last word in order for it to come out.

both of the boys went red at soobin's remark.

"i- what?" yeonjun was taken a back. soobin never wanted anything to do with physical touch. yeonjun normally has to ask first to touch soobin in anyway to not make him uncomfortable. he only just recently became comfortable enough to let yeonjun hold his hand without asking first.

"n-never mind it was a stup-" he began to quickly walk away. but he was stopped when yeonjun grabbed him by the arm again to make him face him.

"I never said no, i was just surprised you would want to hug me, that's all." yeonjun chuckled lowly which in return made soobin turn into a blushing mess.

yeonjun carefully walked closer to soobin slightly opening his arms out a little bit. soobin also lifted his arms up. yeonjun gently wrapped his arms around his small waist, it was like soobin was a fragile vase that could be broken if not handled with care. yeonjun didn't realise how skinny the boys waist and body was until he found out he could very easily wrap his arms around the boy. soobin placed his arms around yeonjun's neck and nuzzled his head in the crook of his neck, already finding comfort in the boys arms.

after a few seconds soobin whispered words that made both their hearts break "i'm so sorry yeonjun."

yeonjun slightly pulled away from soobin, still with his arms around his waist but separated enough where he could see the boy's face.

"why are you apologising soob?" yeonjun was confused but then became a little scared for the words soobin said. it made him worry for what soobin meant. he was petrified that he might know why he's apologising but he didn't want that to be the case.

"i-it's fine, just ignore what i said. we should probably go now. your parents will be worried about you." soobin whispered while unraveling his arms around yeonjun's neck.

"o-okay bye then," yeonjun knew soobin was lying, he could tell something was wrong yet he knew if he asked about it he would just deny it. so he just stood back from the boy and watched as he walked away slowly into the distance...
