The next day, Y/N was walking in the countryard, avoiding all the people who tried to make him trip.

That's when he spotted Cedric, surrounded by a group of idiots.

He sighed heavily.

Y/N: I can't believe I'm really going to do this.
He thought, as he walked towards them.

They looked at him, showing off their brand new 'Potter Stinks' badges.

Y/N tried his best not to set them on fire.

Y/N: I need to talk to you.
He said, not even blinking, giving a disgusted look to the boy's friends.

Cedric smiled awkwardly.

Cedric: Sure... Why not?
He said.

Y/N couldn't blame him for not freaking at ease. They had never had a proper chat before. He too didn't feel at ease at the idea of talking to him.

Y/N led him to an empty classroom.
Y/N: Dragons. The First Trial is about Dragons.
Y/N said.

Cedric looked at him, blinking a few times.
Cedric: Dragons? Really? Why are you telling me?
He asked.

Y/N sighed, faceplaming.
Y/N: I knew you were dumb, but not this dumb. Why do you think I told you? So that we could have something to talk about when we'll drink tea together?
He asked, raising a brow.

Cedric: Uh...
He said, looking at him in confusion.

Y/N: To help you, dumbass. Even if I hate you, I don't think it's fair that you die like an idiot. Well you're an idiot already but... Yeah, you got it.
He said.

Cedric patted his head, chuckling.

Cedric: Thank you, Y/N.
He said.

Y/N: Don't mention it.
He muttered, blushing a little, as he moved Cedric's hand away, and left.

As he walked through the countryard again, he saw Harry and Ron, talking with Seamus.

He ignored them, as he walked past them.

That's when he heard Malfoy talk loud enough for him to hear.

Malfoy: Oho! Look who's there! You know, Potter, My father and I made a bet. He said you won't last more than 10 minutes, but I say you won't last even 5!
He chanted, as some other Slytherins laughed.

Y/N immediately turned around, walking towards him.

He crossed his arms, staring at him.
Y/N: So? Do you feel pleased? Are you enjoying yourself?
He asked.

Malfoy jumped off the tree he was sitting on, and walked towards Y/N, smirking smugly.

Slytherins: Uhhhh!
They all said in unison, laughing.

Malfoy: Oh, you bet I do.
He said.

Y/N: You really are a suicidal blockhead, aren't you? How come you're so stupid? Don't you understand that you're still alive just because some people held me back all the time?
He thought.

Y/N then took a deep breath.

Y/N: Look, I'm done with you. I've had enough. Honestly, I gave you too much importance. More than a little idiot like you deserves. I don't know why I even bothered to talk to you in the first place. You may be strong when you're in company. But when you're alone, you're nothing but a scared kid. I saw that for myself.
He spat at him, his face now a few inches from Malfoy's.

Malfoy's cheeks were crimson red, but he didn't know if it was because he was embarrassed or because he was angry.

Y/N: Now, If you don't mind - not that I could care less if you do - I'll go to the library. Unlike you, I actually know how books work.
He said, smirking, as he turned around, ready to leave.

Malfoy gritted his teeth, as he took out his wand, ready to attack.

That's when Moody popped out of nowhere, startling them.

Moody: OH, NO, YOU WON'T!
He roared, as he walked towards them, his wand raised.

Y/N turned around, but he couldn't see Malfoy. He was gone.

Instead, where Malfoy was just a few instants before, now stood a small, white, ferret.

Moody: You. Do not. Attack. From. Behind!
He said, as the ferret went up and down at each word, making everyone laugh.

Even Y/N laughed.

Seeing all that commotion, McGonagall, who was just passing by, decided to see what was going on.

McGonagall: Professor Moody?
She asked.

They all looked at her.
She looked at him.

McGonagall: What are you doing?
She asked.

Moody: Teaching.
He said, as the ferret kept going up and down.

That's when realization struck her.
McGonagall: Is that... A student?!
She asked.

Moody shrugged.
Moody: Probably. But to me it's just a ferret.
He said.

She scoffed.
McGonagall: We do not use Transfiguration to punish, Alastor. I'm sure Dumbledore told you.
She said, turning Malfoy back to normal.

Moody: Probably he did.
He muttered, as Malfoy ran away as fast as he could.

McGonagall: Try not to forget it then.
She said walking away, as Moody stuck his tongue out.

Y/N was about to walk away, but Moody quickly grabbed his wrist
