- Day After Christmas -
Y/N's POV
Today is the day after Christmas and we have to start taking down everything and getting started on New Year's and Valentine's Day things.
"Hey everyone!" Freddie says swinging open the front door
"Hey Freddie, how was your Christmas?" I ask but pulling down some of the garlands
"It was good, I got everything I wanted for the day." Freddie says but hugging me from behind
"That is so good to hear." I say but turning around to hug him
"How was yours?" Freddie asks but looking at me
"Well." I say but showing my hand to him
"Oh my god no wayyy." Freddie says
"Did he do it first thing in the morning or was it later in the day?" Freddie asks
"It was the last present he gave me and I had gotten him tickets to Aussie which is kind of funny how our presents kind of correlated." I say
"Where is he now?" Freddie asks
"He is hanging out with his brothers for the day since we were with my parents and family yesterday." I say
"Aww, so you are here taking this all down alone?" Freddie asks
"Yes, but it gives me a reason to be sad in private but now you are here so it is a bit better." I say but with a half smile
"I think that I could help you if you would like to do so." I say but looking at him
"I can if you would like me to. I am free all day anyways." Freddie says but grabbing one end of the garlands and helping me to take it down
"Thank you so much. I do appreciate it more than you think." I say
"Do you think the tree is going to be one of the last things to be taken down?" Freddie asks
"Yes, I do not want it to be the first thing to go or it would make me sad." I say
"I understand how you would feel with it coming down as one of the first things." Freddie says but taking one of my wreaths
"I am so sad but this house is going to be looking more naked each day." I say but with a bit of a chuckle
"I know that is kind of how it is after the holidays but we all go through the depression part of taking down the decorations." Freddie says but taking some bulbs off of one of the garlands
"I think this is going to be fun." I say but doing the same as him and we pull down all of the garlands
"I am so sad already." Freddie says
"I know." I say but chuckling and looking at the wall
"I wonder what kind of things are going to be coming out of this after once all of this is down." Freddie says
"I think we should be able to get some Valentine's Day decorations to make it less naked in here but I do not know if I want to do that kind of thing right away." I say
"Maybe not right away but we can vacuum all of the pine needles up once it is all down." Freddie says
"I think that would be a good idea as well." I say but putting the nick knacks away in a box and it had some bubble wrap in it to protect them
"These are so cute you know that?" Freddie asks but doing the same as me
"That is kind of the reason I bought them in the first place." I say but chuckling and continuing to pull some things down and pack them up
"I think this is going to be a new era for this family. Being engaged and having someone like me to help you out with these kind of things. It is going to be so much fun." Freddie says but closing up one of the boxes
"I think so too and even though it is sad in the moment it won't be too sad later on." I say
"True." Freddie says
"What is going on in here?" Robin asks but walking in the front door
"We are taking down all of the decorations from Christmas since you were not here to help me." I say
"I think that is a good idea so we can clear out the old and bring in the new things for the upcoming year." Robin says
"Yes, how was your time with your family?" I ask but taping up one of the boxes
"It was good and it is nice to see you Freddie." Robin says
"It is nice to see you as well." Freddie says
"Thank you for helping my lovely human take down these things. It does make her sad so it nice for you to be here helping her." Robin says but walking upstairs
"I think that maybe we could figure out something to get in here now." Robin says
"We were kind of talking about that but cleansing the space and bringing in the Valentine's decorations for the Feb." Freddie says
"I think that you are both so smart when it comes to those kind of things." Robin says but walking upstairs into the bedroom
Well, here is to finishing the cleaning and putting it all away.
