SPENCER
Two months had gone by way slower than I had expected. I don't know if it was because I spent the summer going to the gym and training, or creeping on Olivia's social media accounts, but I was indeed sick of it.
I had some time to think about our relationship, and I needed to have a sit-down with her as soon as she would be back.
On my way home after a long day of training with the boys I remembered that Jordan had finally chosen his school and was throwing a party to let everyone know at the same time.
He wanted to make it all about himself, which I understood. It was only fair for Jordan to give himself his own flowers and seeing him finally believing in his talent was priceless.
I stayed out of JJ and Jordan's way when it came to planning that party because I still remembered how the last one I threw in our house ended, pretty vividly. God sent me a sign that going to parties might have been fine, but throwing them was definitely not up my alley.
The evening came down fast and when I finally emerged from my room, I was shocked to see the work that had been done. They absolutely went all out. I managed to make my way through the forming crowd to get to my friends.
"Very small gathering, indeed." I told Jordan as I joined them.
He let out a frustrated sigh before replying.
"This is all JJ. I told him I wanted to have a small crowd."
"There's no such thing as a small crowd, Jay!" JJ defended himself.
I laughed at the guys unmatched energy before getting myself something to drink.
"So, when are you going to tell us about the school?" I asked him.
"Well, I might as well do it now-"
"No! You have to wait for the circus squad to perform first!" JJ interrupted.
"The what?! JJ what did you do?" Jordan exclaimed.
JJ had already ran to some place else to coordinate the rest of the entertainment while Asher and I stood there laughing at Jordan's despair.
"Hey, boys!"
Layla, Coop and Patience arrived at the party a few minutes later.
"Layla, I'm glad you're here! You need to help me stop this ridiculous party!" Jordan exclaimed.
"What?! What do you mean?"
"Just come with me!" He insisted.
"Do we want to know?" Patience asked.
"I don't think so." Jaymee replied.
Asher, Jaymee and Patience went into a whole conversation about the party when Coop turned to me.
"Haven't seen Alicia around a lot lately... Want to tell me more about that?" She asked.
I let out a sharp breath before replying.
"Not in the picture anymore."
"How come?"
"Long story." I brushed off.
Alicia's last words resonated in my head as I tried to push them to the back of my head again.
"Listen Spencer, I am not and will never be someone's consolation prize. It's very clear that whatever happened recently to Olivia arose some underlying and unresolved feelings, so I'd suggest you deal with that before you go out looking for another heart to break!"
