Author's note:
Hey, my people! So happy to update today because our babies are back on TV! And one hell of an episode it was! The jealous Spencer era has started 🤣 and I have to admit that I'm not hating it 🧉! I'm so happy to see that Spelivia's dynamic looks like the one I've created in the couple previous chapters. It makes me excited to write and watch!
Anyways, enjoy the chapter!SPENCER
"Come on, Spencer James! We're going to be late!"
I let out a frustrated sigh, refusing to open my eyes. I was exhausted from training all week and all I wanted to do was just stay in bed and rest for the weekend.
That was without counting on Miss Olivia Baker who had decided to take me on a road trip to the cabin to celebrate my New Comer award nomination at GAU's Annual Sports Gala. She wanted to gather all of our friends under the same roof to have some fun.
As if us being reunited did not already cause enough drama.
"Liv, can't we just skip it this time?" I asked, my eyes still shut.
"Spencer, it's your celebration trip, at your cabin, with your friends! There's no way you're skipping it." She replied.
"My friends are yours, so technically we could cancel. And just chill at your house, people free." I suggested.
"First of all you'd be with me, so the people free argument doesn't cut it. Secondly, Coop is definitely your friend, because I would not have invited her to celebrate me." She replied sassily.
I finally opened my eyes to look at her, noting the little dig at Coop. I could not blame her and was definitely not going to argue with her about my friend. She had not been a great one to her in a while.
"Okay, I'm up!"
I sat down on the bed and smiled at the sight of Olivia opening my wardrobe to pack up my bag. It reminded me of old days.
"So, who's going to this impromptu road trip?" I asked, getting up to get ready.
"I don't know for sure, but I know who's not going. Asher and Jaymee can't make it, Patience has a gig tonight, and Skye didn't feel like it. The rest said they'd think about it."
"Oh, so no one's up for celebrating me?!" I asked, pretending to be offended.
Olivia giggled, knowing perfectly well that I was anything but serious. I loved making her laugh.
"Okay, you're all set!"
She dropped my bag full of clothes and utilities on my bed and turned to me. Her gaze was insistent as if she was trying to say something. She tilted her head towards the bathroom to show me what she meant.
"Okay, I'll be quick." I told her.
I started taking my shirt off, not really minding her presence. I mean, she had seen way more of me than that.
"I'll wait for you downstairs!" She exclaimed.
Her reaction surprised me a little, because she was usually not one to shy away from showing or looking at a little bit of skin. I guess she still felt uncomfortable around me.
I joined her downstairs after getting ready and found her smiling down at her phone.
"Ready to go?" I asked.
She looked up and nodded her head before standing up.
"No blindfold for me?" I asked, teasing her.
"Ha Ha, very funny." She replied sarcastically.
