SPENCER
I met her pretty brown eyes for the first time in two months and it was like my knees couldn't hold anymore. My entire body was reacting to seeing the love of my life walking up to me.
"Surprise!"
She smiled from ear to ear, before moving a few strands of her hair away from her face. She laughed wholeheartedly, probably amused at my astonished face.
"Damn, I'm so good at this!" She added.
"Liv... what are you doing here?" I finally managed to ask.
"Well, one young lady was very eager to see her man, whom she has missed so much for two months, that she jumped on the first plane home as soon as she was done with her last class."
I caught that last part, immediately growing wary.
"Are you sure you're done? Didn't you need to stay a few more days to make sure?"
"Spencer! You still haven't even hugged, kissed nor touched me since I've gotten here and you're already asking the wrong questions!"
Realizing that I had yet to express my joy, I stood up from the couch and pulled her into the tightest embrace. I missed her terribly.
"I've missed you."
She left a trail of sweet kisses on my cheek as I whispered those words to her.
"And I've missed you." She emphasized.
I gently pulled her face up to crash my lips against hers. A feeling I had longed for so damn much.
"Now, tell me who to kill for keeping this a secret from me. I could have gone to the barbershop to get a nice cut for my Baby!"
She laughed again, shaking her head at me.
"You'd be surprised. Nobody knows except Simone."
"You're kidding, right?"
"Nope! This time, I wanted to surprise everyone!"
"Oh, is that why she kept texting and asking if I was gonna be home alone this week? I thought she was coming to town and just wanted to avoid bumping into J!" I explained, everything finally clicking in my head.
"See? I just knew she was the right woman for the job!"
We both laughed, still holding each other close. It was a fairly different taste from the last time we were together when I visited her in London, two months prior. That time was nothing short of a disaster.
Flashback
I had been in London for two days already and had seen Liv for all of thirty minutes since. She was just always busy and I didn't want to impose. Wanting to surprise her might not have been the best decision, because she could not automatically rearrange her entire schedule around me.
Men were not allowed at her residence, so we had to see each other outside or at my hotel, which wasn't as close to her school as I thought. Jordan helped me book the whole thing, but I knew I should have asked Layla.
By the end of the third day, I was ready to go home. We only had two nights and three days left together, and she didn't look like she was going to slow down at any point. We managed to push it back most of the time, but half of our conversations ended up in fights.
"I should have never came."
I told her, one time after an argument and immediately regretted it.
"Well... I'm sorry that my life doesn't revolve around you for once." She replied, probably out of spite.
