AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Hey, everyone! Hope you're all doing good! This chapter is going to be a bit different, having other people's POVs so that you get a better understanding of the story. And it's probably going to be the last one to be posted for a few days, because I need to take some time to write the following ones.

Hope you'll enjoy it 😉

SIMONE

After we hung up with Olivia, Darnell, Patience and I had an emergency conference call. The three of us had been trying to get Spencer and Olivia to open their eyes to their true feelings for months.

Darnell going back home for a while, Patience pushing all the buttons to Spencer about D and Olivia's closeness, while Darnell tried reminding the couple of the love they actually share by provoking a little bit of jealousy: it was all a part of our plan.

It was working just fine until Spencer brought in the Alicia factor. She was not a part of our initial equation, which made it very difficult for us t.

Nevertheless, it was on the right path until the night of the party. Once again, due to Spencer's unexpected actions.

After what happened this summer, we decided to pump the brakes a bit. Patience was dealing with her own stuff so she did not ask too many questions and probably figured that things were simply slowing down because Olivia was abroad. It was not our place to tell her about what went down.

Now that Liv told Spencer about it, we could finally proceed with our plan. And they obviously needed our help.

"So, what's up? I thought we were done plotting since they were back on good terms!" Patience stated.

"Yeah, but Alicia is back in the picture so it complicates things. Liv found them together in Spencer's room." I explained.

"What?!" She exclaimed, surprised. "Spencer, really?!"

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves yet. I'm gonna try to find out what that was about with Spencer himself. It may not have been what we think."

"I also don't think they were doing anything, but it's just that the timing is crazy. Everything works against us." I added.

"What's our next move then?" Patience asked.

"Simone, how about you go to LA for a few days? You said your team was down sick for a week, so it would be easier to work with Patience while there." Darnell suggested.

I knew it was the best idea for our plan to move forward, but I'd be lying if I said I was thrilled about it. I had not gone back home since breaking things off with Jordan the way I did. It was too much to handle at the time, and now seeing him or being around his circle was bound to be weird.

"It'll be fine, girl. Moving on is hard, but you need to face the situatin head on to be able to really do it." Patience told me.

After a bit more convincing, I agreed to visit for a few days. With my parents both being out of town, I had to find somewhere to stay since I could not sleep at the Baker House for obvious reasons. I was still not comfortable with the idea of Jordan and Layla being together.

Mr and Mrs Baker were sweet enough to offer me to stay at their house, after Patience told them that I planned to surprise Olivia.

Patience was supposed to deal with Olivia while I worked around Spencer. It had to seem natural and not forced for them not to get suspiscious. It worked the first time.
