"BREAD BOY, would you like to tell me why exactly you're hiding when there's a literal horde of angry zombie-people next door?" Iona crossed her arms, staring- disapprovingly- at Jakob, who was sitting on the floor.
He shrugged, "Well, you see, there's this thing called a will to live and I really appreciate mine-"
"Up! Now!" Iona demanded. She marched over, angrily grabbing his arm and tugging him towards her. Jakob grumbled, but still, he grabbed ahold of his sword, prepared to fight for the place he had started to call home.
When Iona arrived back at the barricade with everyone else, she sighed once she watched it all come falling down. Prepared to fight, she grabbed her katana before she was pulled back by Jakob, "See what I mean about a will to live? You seem to lack it."
Iona grumbled, shrugging his grip off her shoulders.
"Everyone back to the throne room!" Someone yelled out, causing a giant swarm of Arkadians and Grounders to go jogging towards the room. Iona was last to get in, urging Jakob, Octavia, and Bellamy before her.
Then, she sealed the door shut behind her.
It wasn't long before the horde of AI-controlled people began banging on the door. It had been barricaded by that point, causing every item in front of it to shake violently; they could hear groaning and grunting on the other side.
"This is it!" Bellamy called out, staring at the door as it began to shake- a signal that soon, everything would come tumbling down. "We need to keep Clarke safe and give her time. They're unarmed, don't feel pain, and won't stop until they're out cold."
Iona got down, her stance open and ready for anything, as the last few slams echoed- then, grounders were breaking into the room.
Iona didn't hesitate. She shared a smile with Jakob before the two lunged at the group together, jumping in the air and landing on top of the approaching warriors, the hilt of their blades hitting them dead on the head.
Iona and Jakob were the first line of defense- right in the front, wounding them before they get any further. For those that managed to slip past them- which was not many, due to their deadly methods and intense training- they ran headfirst into Bellamy and Miller.
Octavia was in the back, right in front of Clarke, stopping those that got past both Iona and Bellamy's group.
Iona cut down solider after soldier, standing back-to-back with Jakob as they twirled around. They both tried to lessen the numbers but found themselves quickly overwhelmed as more and more just kept coming.
Iona kept fighting, though, dancing through the room and cutting down whoever got in her way. She saved Bellamy from Kane, Miller from a rogue grounder, and nearly got herself knocked out trying to save Murphy.
Still, she did it, and exhaustion was setting in.
She never really healed from her bullet wound- the pain had merely subsided when she took the chip, but now, it was coming back.
Watching everyone around her begin to be taken over one by one, Iona felt herself stumble, a pained groan escaping her as she clutched at her stomach. She fell right into the hands of an approaching grounder, who took her katana and threatened to stab her with it.
She tried fighting him off, pushing against him with all the strength remaining in her body- but she couldn't, and she felt the slightest bit of a cut as the katana sliced into her left thigh.
Then, the man was tackled to the floor, a bruised and bloody Bellamy on top of him as he used Iona's katana to knock him out cold. He fell back to the floor, his head lolling to the side as unconsciousness overtook him.
"Bells..." Iona murmured, reaching a hand towards him. He took it gratefully, squeezing, as they both stared at the door.
More were coming, and they weren't in any condition to stop them.
The unthinkable happened, though. It all stopped. Everyone stopped attacking, stumbling back as pain registered in their minds, and their own senses returned to them. Those that had been harmed began crying out, clutching at their wounds.
Iona glanced back, looking at Clarke as she slowly began to wake up, and she felt relief settle in her stomach; she met Bellamy's gaze.
"It's over..." He quietly muttered.
Iona reached out to him, pulling herself into his arms with a slow nod, "We did it."
