13 ~ Grounders

Quite a large group joined in on the search party for Octavia.

Bellamy leads the group to where he saw her last, before he found Ravens pod. They search from that point forward. After a while of looking, a kid named John calls out.

"Look! Over here."

The group rush over to him and he points down a small slope. "Right there. You see it? Is that Octavia's?"

It's a bag.

Bellamy looks to a girl named Roma. "Rope."

Skye walks up to him. "What are you doing?"

"We need the rope to get back up. Flashlight." He uses the rope to slowly go down the hill.

They watch intently as he picks up the bag, investigating it before turning to the others. "It's hers. I'm going all the way down."

Skye quickly grabs the rope to go down after him. Finn and Jasper follow.

Bellamy notices large shoe prints on the muddy ground. "Someone was here."

Finn crouches down. "The prints are deeper going that way. He was carrying her."

Jasper rubs his arm. "If they took her, she's alive. Like when they took me."

The group follows the prints until they get to a deeper section of woods. It's darker here. Colder too. There's a certain ambiance that hangs in the air. It doesn't feel right.

Full skeletons hang from the trees.

Skye shivers at the sight. "I don't speak Grounder... but I'm pretty sure this means keep out."

Some kid that Skye can't remember the name of, throws his hands up. "I'm not doing this shit."

A few more of the teens agree, not wanting to pass the Grounder barrier.

Bellamy takes his flashlight and starts walking. "Go back if you want. My sister, my responsibility."

Skye catches up with him. He glances at her.

"I'm with you." She says, fighting the fear of what is to come.

Jasper hesitantly nods. "I'd walk into hell to find her."

Finn sighs. "I think we just did."

Bellamy, Skye, Finn, Jasper, Roma, John and a kid named Diggs, are the only ones who decide to go into the "off-limits" zone. After a while of following any signs of life, Finn shakes his head.

"I got nothing. We lost the trail."

Bellamy wipes a bead of sweat from his forehead. "Keep looking."

"Wandering around aimlessly isn't the way to find your sister. We should backtrack..."

"I'm not going back." Bellamy says, desperately.

The girl named Roma suddenly turns around. "Hey... where's John?"

They all pause and look around to find that the boy is gone. Jasper looks confused. "I just saw him a second ago."

"Spread out. He couldn't have gotten that far." Bellamy says.
