The sun has set.
Life feels like it's moving in slow motion as Skye enters the throne room.
All eyes turn to her.
She wears a brown flowing dress. She has heavy eye makeup on her face. Her hair is braided.
Bellamy and Clarke stand beside Abby and Kane as they watch her walk toward the front of the room where the Commander stands.
She truly looks like a princess now.
Skye stops directly in front of Lexa. The two make eye contact, before the white-haired girl kneels down, at the feet of the other woman.
Bellamy is the next to follow.
Then Roan.
Every other person in the room begins to kneel as well.
After a moment, Lexa speaks to the room. "Hail warriors of the twelve clans."
"Hail Commander of the blood." The crowd says in unison.
"Rise."
Everybody stands. Skye takes her place next to Bellamy.
He slides his hand into hers. She gives it a gentle squeeze.
"We welcome Skaikru to our halls in the spirit of friendship and harmony. And we welcome Skye kom Skaikru, legendary Wanheda mountain slayer." Lexa speaks. "The reason for this summit has changed. We are not here to negotiate a treaty with the Skaikru, but rather to initiate them into the coalition."
The members of the twelve clans begin to mutter amongst themselves.
Lexa continues regardless. "To symbolize this union, the leader of Skaikru must bear our mark."
Kane turns to Abby. She whispers to him. "The honor should be yours."
Lexa nods. "Present your arm."
A Grounder man lowers a metal rod into a fire, walking over to Kane.
Kane rolls up his sleeve, allowing the man to press the flaming hot metal onto his forearm. He bites his lip as he lets out a pained groan.
The doors to the room suddenly burst open.
In walks Octavia and Pike. Pike has a Grounder in a chokehold.
"Octavia?" Bellamy asks.
The bald man, who Skye has learned is named Titus, speaks. "What is the meaning of this?"
Pike has a gun pointed at the Grounder that is in his grasp. "The summit's a trap."
Skye turns to Lexa. "What the hell is going on?"
