Find light in the beautiful sea, I choose to be happy

You and I, you and I, we're like diamonds in the sky

You're a shooting star I see, a vision of ecstasy

When you hold me, I'm alive, we're like diamonds in the sky

"Happy birthday, Skye." Abby smiles at her.

She tries her best to smile back.

Today she turns eighteen. Just a few weeks ago, she was locked in a metal box in the sky, nearing her death. Now, she is on Earth. Alive.

"Thanks, mom." Skye manages to muster up.

It's early in the day. The people of the Ark have been working around the clock, trying to renovate their new home.

Skye sits on a bench, taking in the early morning breeze. A handful of Arkadian's stop by to wish her a happy birthday, including Clarke, Raven, and Harper.

As she sits, she ponders the weeks prior to now. Landing on Earth. Meeting Bellamy. The Grounders. Mount Weather.

Oh god.

Mount Weather.

Her eyes begin to water. She looks at the sky. All those people are dead because of her.

Maya. Vincent. Lee. Dante. Everybody who helped her. All the kids. All the innocent people.

She should've been floated.

Those people would still be alive. It's only been five days since she pulled that lever. It feels like it's been years.

She stands and walks into the ship, heading straight for her and Bellamy's room. She feels dizzy.

The door opens right as Skye reaches for the handle.

Bellamy.

"Hey." His voice is groggy, and his hair is messy. He must've just woken up.

"You weren't in bed." He says with a yawn.

She sniffles and he realizes the tears forming in her eyes. "Hey. Come here." He wraps his arms around her and she sinks into his warmth.

He leads her back inside their room and shuts the door. "What's wrong, princess?"

"I'm a monster." Her voice cracks and the tears finally fall.

She collapses into a chair and Bellamy quickly crouches down beside her.

He says nothing, waiting for her to continue.

"All those people, Bell..."

He wipes her face gently with his thumb. "That wasn't your fault. We did that together. There wasn't another option."

"But-"

"Skylar. It's not your fault. None of this was your fault."

She crumbles into his arms and her sobs fill the quiet room.

After a while, her cries turn to sniffles and the sniffles turn to silence.

Bellamy sits with her the whole time.
