___

Nothin' happened in the way I wanted

Every corner of this house is haunted

And I know you said that we're not talkin'

But I miss you, I'm sorry

___

The man walks her through the woods, led by the rope around her wrists. Her gag is gone now, as she promised she wouldn't fight back.

She can't think straight, her mind racing with images of Bellamy.

He found her. Then he had to watch her get taken away to her imminent death.

"So... Wanheda. Who was Mr. Freckles?"

She blinks. "What?"

"Freckles. Clearly you care about him." The man says.

She grinds her teeth. "It's none of your business."

He shrugs, saying nothing more.

After a moment she speaks. "Why are you hiding from your people?"

"Why did you run from yours?"

She huffs. "You're obviously not loyal to the Ice Nation, so why are you taking me there?"

He says nothing once more.

"Whatever the queen can give you, my people can offer more." She says.

"Are you sure about that?" He asks her.

She clenches her jaw, staying silent.

A few minutes pass and the man speaks up. "I was banished. I can't take you home to your people, because you are the ticket back to mine."

Skye looks at the ground as they walk. "That man you stabbed back there? I love him." She says quietly.

He glances at her. "I gathered that."

___

The cloth bag is now back over her head as she is brought into a building. She hears footsteps and whispers, but everything is beige beneath the bag.

Her captor speaks in Trig. "Wanheda, coma don swega klin."

She is pushed to her knees and the bag is removed from her head.

Her eyes adjust and she is blinded by the sun coming in through the window.

A woman suddenly stands from a throne, blocking the light.

It's Lexa.

"Hello, Skye."

Her mouth drops open, staring at the Commander who betrayed her and her people back at Mount Weather, causing her to pull the lever, killing every single person in that mountain.

Beside her, stands Indra and a tall bald man.

Lexa walks forward, looking at the long-haired man who brought Skye here. "The deal was for you to bring her to me unharmed."

Skye's cheek has some dried blood, having cut it on the rocks back by the stream.

"She didn't come easy." He replies.

Lexa hums. "I'd expect not."

The man looks at her. "I've done my part. Now do yours. Lift my banishment."

Lexa doesn't even blink. "I'm told your mother's army marches on Polis."

Skye slowly turns her head to look at her captor.
