Finn tenses roughly with each movement of the needle.
"I'm almost done." Skye says to him, apologetically.
She finally finishes stitching up his wound. Clarke is scrubbing at her hands, trying to remove the boy's blood from them.
"Okay. All set." Skye says, patting Finn on the head.
"Good. Do you have anything to cover the wound?" Abby says over the radio.
She sighs. "We'll make do. Like always."
Raven looks at Finn, worried. "Should he be this pale?"
"He's lost a lot of blood Raven, but if your boyfriend is anywhere near as tough as you, I'm sure he'll be fine."
Clarke feels his head again. "Wait, mom, she's right. He's feverish and his breathing is uneven."
"You need to give him some time to recover. Let me know if he gets any worse but I think he might just be out of the woods."
Skye pinches the bridge of her nose. She thinks about her ex-boyfriend. How he protected her and Clarke from learning the truth. Their own mother turned in their father. She can't forgive her. At least not now. "Yeah, well down here there's nothing but woods. I need a break."
She walks over to the ladder.
"Wait. Wait. Raven, could you give me a minute with my daughters?"
Raven nods. "Yeah. Sure." She starts to walk away but Clarke stops her. "No. Stay with Finn."
Skye goes all the way up the ladder to the third floor where Bellamy and a few others hold the Grounder hostage.
Clarke goes up to the second floor to tend to anybody's injuries from the storm.
___
Skye opens the hatch to the third floor and climbs up to the solid ground. A kid named Miller, blocks her from moving.
"Get the hell out of my way." She hisses at him.
Bellamy looks at Miller. "Let her through."
He steps out of the way and Skye walks further into the level to find the Grounder standing, strapped to either wall. His face is stone. He's covered in dirt and blood.
