(Kenzo's POV)
"Congratulations Kian. We're so proud of you son." Salubong sa akin ni Mom.
"Thanks Mom. Where's Dad?"
Inilibot ko ang tingin ko sa bahay namin dito sa New York, nagluto kasi si Mommy para icelebrate ang graduation day ko pero hindi ko makita si Dad. Kanina sabi niya hindi na raw siya makakahabol sa Graduation ko kaya uuwi na lang raw siya ng maaga para maki-celebrate sa bahay, pero ganon pa rin...wala pa rin siya.
"I'm sorry son. We are actually on our way here when something came up. But don't worry he said he still going here after fixing everything in the office." She explained.
I just nodded. Sanay na ako na lagi siyang wala sa mahahalagang okasyon sa buhay ko simula pa no'ng bata ako. Katulad na lang ngayon, katatapos lang ng graduation ko pero si Mom lang ulit ang nandito.
"Hi babe!"
Oh that voice, kahit yata nakapikit ako kilalang kilala ko ang boses na yon. I turned around to face her and she kissed me without the warning. She never failed to surprise me. Simula nang magkita ulit kami dito sa NY hindi na siya nawala sa tabi ko.
"Congrats babe." She said then walked towards to Mom and greeted her.
"Hija you look more beautiful than you did before." Mom said.
"Thank you tita."
"Oh darlin' you must call me mommy. Right hijo?" She said then turned her gazed to me.
I just smiled at them. Mom's always wanted Veronica to be my future wife even when we were in grade school. And when Veronica's family was migrated to America Mom's never failed to communicate with them.
"Excuse me guys, I have to entertain our other guest." Mom said before she kissed veronica and me on the cheeks.
"I'm so proud of you babe." She said after I pulled a chair for her.
"Thank's babe. Congratulations also to you."
"Yes, at last we made it." She exclaimed.
"It's because you were always there to inspired me."
She smiled sweetly and laid her head on my shoulder. After a while my CP ring. Umayos ng tayo si Veronica para makuha ko ang CP ko sa bulsa ng pants ko. It was Mathew who's calling.
"Hello-"
["Dude! Congrats! Kelan uwi mo? Kelangan natin magcelebrate."]
Still energetic as ever. Hindi na talaga siya nagbago. I'm still wonderin' how we became friends.
"Thank's Matt. Congrats din sa inyo ni Adrian. I still don't have plans of goin' there but I will let you know if I decided."
I heared his deep sighed from another line.
["Ah, sige. Hintayin ko tawag mo."]
After that I ended the call and put back my phone on my pocket.
"Who's that?" Veronica asked.
"It's Matt." I replied.
