Continuation of flashback:
"Don't you like the food?" I asked her.
"I said I want to go home. i'm not hungry I want to rest."
She said get her purse and rose to her feet. I quickly stand and block her way. She's avoiding my gaze but I held her hand.
"Veronica...Please..."
She looked at me lazily. And threw a questioning look. I look at her begging her to stay a bit longer. That's what I need...a little more time. Veronica sighed.
"Fine!"
We stayed a little bit longer. I'm trying my best to entertain her but it still doesn't have an affect with her. 'woohh! Matthew! Adrian! Bakit ang tagal nyo tumawag! She's getting bored!' 35 minutes more and Matthew call. 'Finally!'
"Babe! I just have to take this call.." I said she nodded.
"Matt...are we good? How's everything?"
"Ok na Dude!"
"Great! Thanks. Bye."
I go back to our table and tell her I had an emergency. She didn't asked me about it she just go with me with a concern look. And that's a good thing.
She still silent while I'm driving. Gusto ko sana siyang kausapin para malibang siya at hindi na magtanong, but I can't I'm nervous for what I'm going to do later. I'm afraid to what she's going to say orher reaction after.
After a while narating na rin naming ang park kung saan kami unang nagkakilala back when we are 5 years old. Nagkakilala kami when her family moved in our village.
"Uhm...Kian, why are we here? It's so dark here and the park is already closed."
She finally break her silence I just smile and held her hand.
"Just trust me."
I said and we walk together each step the lights turns on I can feel that she's scared and nervous and a little excited. And we reach the center of the park and all the lights turns on, the Christmas lights flickered and the sound of violin filled the air. I saw my two best friends from afar. They're smiling before they left.
She freeze when she saw what Matt and Adrian did.
"Oh my god! Babe! You did this?"
she asked with amusement in her voice.
"Yeah. Shall we?"
I pulled the chair and give her the flowers before I sit. I held her hand.
"Babe, I'm sorry if I'm always make you cry, for hurting you sometimes, sorry if I'm not perfect. But one thing is for sure... I love you. And I promised to love you till we get old."
She put her other hand to the top of my hand.
"Don't be sorry Babe. I love you even you're not perfect." She said I nodded.
