No Matter What

POV EJ

I want Gina back. No matter what. I need her back.

I leave my stuff in my room, take some money and go into my car. I don't care how long the drive is. I need to go to her.

But where. Where does she live? I feel stupid, I don't even know where the love of my life lives. I grab my phone. I hope Ashlyn will tell me. She is the best cousin I have but she can be very stubborn.

EJ: Ash? Where does Gina live?

Ashlyn: Oh no, what are you up to? Please tell me it's nothing stupid

EJ: Doesn't matter, can you please give me the address? Please, please, please

Ashlyn sends the location. Thank God. Thank Ashlyn. Thank whoever was involved in Ashlyn's choice.

So then I drive.

~Time Skip~

I'm in her street. I don't think I've ever been this nervous of seeing Gina. I drive to her house. Number 13.

Suddenly, I start panicking. What if Ash sent me to the wrong house. It would be something she'd do.

I slowly walk towards the door and knock. I hear footsteps coming towards the door on the other side. I wish I would disappear, I'm not ready to see her. The door opens...

Gina's mom stands in front of me. "EJ?" she says surprised. "You were quite the last person I would expect to stand in front of my house. How are you?" she asks.

I shyly smile. "I'm fine, thanks, how are you, Miss Porter?" I state. "I'm fine, I'm fine, come in," she says and she lets me in.

"Is Gina home?" I ask. "Yes, she is...," Miss Porter says and hesitates. "EJ?" Gina asks and I see her standing on the stairs.

"Hi," I state and I realize how weird this must be for her. She's in her pajamas and she wears fluffy pink slippers. It looks good on her. Everything looks good on her.

"How are you?" I say to start a conversation. "Uh, fine," she says, looking suspiciously at me. "I'll leave you two alone," Miss Porter says and she walks away.

"EJ, why are you here?" Gina asks, there is a cold sound in her voice. "I have to tell you something that took me too long to realize," I start. "Gina, I love you."

Gina is silent. Was it the wrong thing to say? Too soon? Too late?

After a while Gina gets her voice back. "EJ, I'm sorry, but I have a boyfriend," she states.

She has a boyfriend...

She moved on.

She did what I couldn't.

I try to remain calm but it is physically impossible to relax. "Who-," I start. "Who is it?" I ask. You can hear the hate in my voice.

"Jack."

The doorbell rings and Gina slowly walks towards it to open it. I hear whispering voices. "Not now, believe me, you can stop by later..... no really, you should go," Gina whispers.

I walk towards the door and I see him. Jack. Even his name sounds bad. I aggressively open the door and run towards him. I can't think straight, Jack is bad, that's all I know.

"How dare you take my girl?! How dare you-," I feel like the bit of sadness that was still inside of me has now also made place for anger. I cannot find the right words to scream, I just want to make him feel.

Make him feel the same pain he caused me.

With one swing, I punch Jack in his jaw. He falls onto the ground and with his eyes wide open and his terrified look, he stares at me.

I sit on top of him so he can't escape and I start to punch again and again. After the first punch, Jack's jaw was only a bit red. But now, blood is searching its way out of his face onto his shirt.

I don't know what is possessing me, but I keep on punching. Jack's eyes close, he is knocked-out but that doesn't make me stop. His blood is now streaming everywhere.

It's as red as my broken heart. Or maybe my heart is now black. Dead.

I want to give Jack another punch but Gina suddenly pushes me away. She looks at Jack and all the color in her face disappears. She goes to Jack but when she says his name, he doesn't reply.

What have I done...

Hi guysss,

I'm supposed to study for my history test tomorrow... I'll blame you if I fail it.

I hope you liked this chapter. It was crazy to write it, I was honestly as scared as Jack and as angry as EJ. I could really feel their emotions, it was so weird.

Anyways, next chapter is gonna be fun. I think. I hope.

Ooohhh and the chapter after that is gonna be soooo great. I'm sure you're gonna like that. I'm gonna write as soon as possible because I really want you to read it.
