POV Ashlyn

We're all on the stage now. Everyone. Me and Gina are standing in front of them all. I give the doorknob to Gina who walks to the door.

Slowly, she put the doorknob in the hole we made in the door. Behind the house a few of the supporting roles push the windows open and close it again. The lights in the house go on and off. It looks magical.

It's perfect.

The music of Family Madrigal plays again for the bows. I take Big Red's hand and together we bow after Gina, Kourtney, and Nini.

I look at Big Red and we both smile. We'll stay together forever.

The audience claps as we bow. Some even stand or cheer. I can see my mom yelling with her arms high above her head. I'm so happy she's here.

After the last have bowed, we all return backstage. It is a huge party, everything in the show went right.

"Peeps," Miss Jenn tries to get our attention. Benjamin Mazzara, well no, Benjamin Bell stands next to her, holding her hand. I can see their wedding rings sparkle in the light.

"You all did such an amazing job, I'm so, so proud of you all," she starts. Everyone celebrates for a second by either clapping or yelling.

"I want to suggest that after we went to see our parents and other loved-ones," she continues and she waits a second while looking at Gina for a second and then at EJ who is silently standing in the door opening.

"That we all go to Slices to celebrate," Miss Jenn suggests. Everyone nods in agreement. "And, not to forget," Miss Jenn adds.

"Tomorrow I want to see you all at school, because then I'll get the official letter whether we won the Menkies or not."

Right. The Menkies. I totally forgot about that.

I look around and notice more people remembering the Menkies. It doesn't matter what the result will be, we are crazy proud of ourselves.

"We could also not go and, you know, just be happy about what we achieved?" Ricky suggests.

"Well, kiss my sass, I want to know whether we won or not. I'm not doing the whole fake burning the letter again," Carlos says in a high pitched voice.

Everyone laughs and Seb gives Carlos a tight hug.

POV Seb

Everyone runs towards their families as soon as Miss Jenn lets us go. I see Nini hugging her two awesome moms who both sat on the front row during the musical.

Gina's brother showed up and held a phone with a video call with Gina's mother during the musical. Gina waves at the phone as she gives her brother a hug. EJ and Ashlyn go to their family, next to Gina's.

I know this is the best moment of the musical for most of the theater kids. However, for me, it's horrible. It only reminds me of... well, yeah, you get it.

I slowly turn around. I'll just get my stuff already to go to Slices.

"Sebastian, where do you think you're going?" I hear my favorite voice asking behind me. I turn around again and look into Carlos' eyes. He holds out his hand and his parents look at me from behind him.

I happily walk to Carlos, take his hand and give him a hug. Carlos' father puts a hand on my shoulder and his mom smiles at me.

This is now my favorite moment of the musical as well.
