Two weeks has passed. Miss Lopez, Dad's secretary helped me to complete my requirement papers. Some are through online and some are through walk-ins. Minsan ay sinasamahan at inihahatid ako ni Klive sa tuwing may appointment ako.

Then one fine morning, I woke up hearing my phone ringing non-stop. Sino ba ang tatawag ng ganito kaaga? Nakapikit man ay sinagot ko iyon.

"Hello.."

"Erina!!" sigaw ng nasa kabilang linya. That voice... it's Kelly's!

"Kel's!!!" I screamed as well, not minding that it's only 5 in the morning. Nakalimutan niya yata ang time difference sa US. It's probably around 4 in the afternoon there.

"Umuwe ka lang ng Pilipinas, nakalimutan mo ng tawagan 'yung pinakamaganda mong pinsan!" ismid niya.

Oo nga at nakalimutan kong kamustahin siya pagkarating ko dito. I totally forgot about her... Sorry Kels..

"Ikaw lang naman ang pinsan kong babae." I cleared my throat. "Sorry, Kels, just got so busy. Ang dami kong na-miss dito sa Pinas. Si Eijjei nga, 'yung baby brother ko, binata na."

"Kids grew fast, Erin. But anyway, hindi 'yan ang reason kung bakit ako tumawag."

I sat on my bed and tried to fix my messy hair. "Nico said that Lance is on his way to the Philippines!"

Yes, Nico my friend way back in highschool is Kelly's current suitor. Nagkita kami sa university na pinapasukan ko two years bago ako maka-graduate. At first I was shocked, I mean who would have thought we will meet there? Sa laki ba naman ng US. But it turns out that he's family migrated and he's the last one to join them.

Natatawa pa ako sa kwentuhan namin lalo na ang throwback namin noong highschool. And of course, meeting me means meeting my cousin also. At first, they were like cats and dogs. Away ng away. Kahit sa napakawalang kwentang dahilan. Hanggang sa ayun, nagkadevelopan at nanligaw si Nico. Pero dahil pinaninindigan ng pinsan ko ang pagiging dalagang pilipina niya, hindi niya pa sinasagot si Nico. That's a good sign, though. Nico's been courting her for more than a year now. The stage of no pressure, just enjoying each others company.

And also, a big surprise for me that Nico has a cousin named Lance. Familiar? Yes again, 'coz he's the captain of the basketball team way back on my first year in college. The guy I caught staring at me during the try-outs.

Kaya pala medyo pamilyar ang mukha, dahil medyo hawig din sila ni Nico.

Graduate na siya ng magkita kami noon sa US, since he's older than me. And the reason why he's there is to manage their family business. Naging kasama namin siya sa tuwing kumakain kami sa labas at gumagala. Until we become close friends.

"Oh my! Bakit hindi niya ako sinabihan?" tanong ko pa.

"Baka surprise niya, ay mukhang na-spoil ko pa ata." I can picture Kelly closing her eyes out of frustration.

"It's fine atleast masusundo ko siya 'di ba? Miss ko na 'yun.."

"Yeah, yeah.. Miss ka na din no'n, lalo na at humuhopia pa din sa 'yo."

And my last revelation for the day is, Lance became one of my suitors. He's the most spoiled suitor back then, lalo na at magkaibigan kami. At first, it was awkward. But later on, I became comfortable with him. He also confessed how he liked me the first time he saw me on the gymnasium. He even remember my exact clothes and expressions that time.

Bumuntong hininga naman ako. "Kelly, we're just friends. That's the only thing I can offer, you know that right?"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever!" she said mocking me. "Is it because of that guy again? Have you met him already?"
