Chapter 1: A new World

Pov: Third Person. 4 hours before the incident.(past tense)

It started out a normal day, well as normal as it could be on Mobius. Sonic and the gang were hanging out enjoying the bright sunny day at the beach. Sonic was scarfing down chillidogs. Amy was flirting with Sonic, which fell on deaf ears, as usual. Rouge was sitting in a hammock, sipping a drink out of a coconut. Knuckles was burying Tails in the sand. Shadow was on a walk through the forest near the beach, trying to mind his own business.

Suddenly their fun times were interrupted by a loud explosion from under the surface of the water. The force of it causing a large wave to crash down on the heros on the shore. Knuckles acted quickly and dug Tails out of the sand, while Sonic jumped up and complained "Water? Why does it always have to be water?" Amy and Rouge jumped up ready for action as they watched the robot emerge from the surface.

Shadow rushed to where he could see the beach, hearing the loud explosion. (although he wanted to ignore it and go home) Luckily for him, he did though because he got to witness Sonic getting splashed. He chuckled to himself deciding to stay back unless they really needed him. He didn't care that much about the beach anyway.

With the robot revealed, Sonic quickly got into stance and exclaimed "Alright Egghead, time to dance" and spindashed the bot. The team jumped in behind him, attacking the robot from as many angles as they could. Not long after they begun battling, Eggman arose from the water himself in an altered waterproof eggmobile "OHoHohOHo meet my latest and greatest robot, the Poachermatic500! It's completely hydropowered design allows it to be more powerful the more water it's in! And look at all this water! You'll never defeat this bot! OHhohOHoHo!"

Sonic stuck out his tongue at eggman and said between attacks "Ugh, don't remind me. Anyway, this bot will be defeated just like all your other bots EggBreath!" The team worked long and hard hitting it wherever they could, taking a few good hits and shots themselves. Tails piped up after sonic got struck yet another time "Sonic! We'll never defeat this bot if it stays in the water, from my calculations, it's getting 5% stronger with every minute it stays in! We need to draw it out, and SOON!"

Sonic got up and dusted himself off "Fine, if this machine really wants us, it can come and get us!" He dashed towards the bot, jumped at the base and landed a downwards spindash right on top of the 'head' of the bot, bouncing off and doing it one more time before landing on the ground in front of it. He stuck out his tongue and waved his tail at it, taunting it. "Come and get me, if you dare!" He dashed off a fair distance, hoping the robot would turn its attention towards him instead of his friends.

"Initiate Code: Blue Devil" shouted Eggman. There was a loud mechanical whir as the robots guns rotated and transformed into missile launchers. They took aim and fired towards Sonic. Sonic turned and saw it just in time to dodge to the right. What he didn't know, was that they were targeting missiles. They followed him and he crouched down, and then jumped just in time for them to crash and detonate in the ground... right by Shadow's feet. Shadow chaos controled in time to not be blown up, and then punched Sonic in the face as the blue hedgehog turned around. He growled at Sonic "FUCKING IDIOT! you could have killed someone if it were anyone but me there!" And with that he chaos controled behind the Poachermatic500, placed his hand on it, and chaos controled it onto the middle of the beach. He used chaos control one last time to disappear into his house to get some food, as he felt a bit low on his energy.

The team worked together to finish off the robot, leaving it shattered on the beach for the G.U.N agency to clean up that had just recently arrived on scene. Eggman retreated with promises to return later. The Blue Hero felt slightly down as well as a little angry from what his black and red counterpart had said to him.
