POV: Tails
After Sonic and Shadow leave the room I chuckle again, turning back to the principal "I'm sorry, you just have no idea how funny it was that you called Shadow his husband. Wh-" I burst out in laughter again before composing myself "Why did you think that anyway?" Josh smiled nervously and chuckles "Sorry, I honestly had no idea. It was really just body language, I guess. Shadow seemed to be putting on a tough-guy front, but whenever Sonic had his back turned Shadow was staring at him and his expression changed. it kind of looked like it took on a softer, more... loving look? It's the way my husband looks at me when he thinks no one is looking, or just doesn't care if anyone is. Like in our wedding picture."
I notice a blush now on the man's face as he gestures to a picture of him and his husband on his desk. It was a very sweet picture of them dressed up at their wedding. I cock my head and look up in thought before replying with slightly wider eyes. "Now that you mention it, Shadow has been much nicer to Sonic lately. He even let him ride on his motorcycle with him, then came home smiling, which I've NEVER seen Shadow do! I wonder.. I wonder if.. I wonder if he actually does like him?" 'No way. That would be so funny if he does. It would explain a lot though. And I mean a LOT.'
I sat there in thought for a minute before shaking my head and looking at the Principal. "That's a nice picture of you and your husband by the way. You both look nice. But I have no time to think about Shadow and my brother. That would be waaaay too complicated. I'll figure it out later. I'm ready for that test whenever you are." I say smiling at the man, folding my hands and placing them in my lap. He smiles and nods his head pulling out a large booklet "We can go to the teacher conference room so you can have a little more space and we can get you a water or snack if need be. Most students who take this test take about 3 hours to complete the quiz." I smirk 'challenge accepted' and with that we both get up and head to afore mentioned room and I take a seat at the table they had in there. Josh walks over to the sink and gets me a glass of water, placing the test in front of me with a couple pencils.
After about an hour I finish the question on the last page 'that was so easy! A couple of the questions were hard though, especially the history part. Then again this IS a new dimension with altered history.' I close the booklet and take a drink of my water, standing up. I walk up to the desk where the office member who was assigned to watch over me was sitting, and hand it to her "Oh, do you need to use the restroom? I can lead you to it. It's just down the hall." I smile proudly and slide the booklet closer to her, putting the pencil down next to it. "No. I just finished. It was actually mostly easy." She gives me a surprised look and grabs the booklet, flipping through the pages. I'm assuming she did this to make sure I didn't miss anything. Once she reaches the end she closes it and stands up "Oh. Well. Ok then. I'm going to go put this in the scanner to see how you scored and come back. When I return I'll let you know how you did and we'll go ahead and tour the school if you'd like." I nod and give her a thumbs up "Sounds good to me! Let me know if I broke a school record too. I'd love to brag to my brother." She nods and heads out, leaving me alone. I look around some of the posters and decorations they had in the lounge to pass the time.
I see a few certificates and a couple trophies. In the center of the awards wall, there is big trophy that looks like a steam punk world on top of your typical trophy cup. The trophy is attached to a certificate labeled 'Certificate of Excellence. This certificate is proudly awarded to: Dr. Ovi Kintobor, for being the best Robotics expert in the world' 'hmm, why does that sound familiar?' I wonder to myself. Before I'm able to think too much on the topic, the lady comes back with my test.
She walks in with a pep in her step, smiling "Well. It seems you get bragging rights. You've scored higher than any student of ours ever has. Only one student came close and that was pretty recently too. you scored a 97!" I smile proudly and put my fist in the air "Yes! I can't wait to tell Sonic! Let's go check out the rest of the school now, if that's ok." The lady just smiles and nods before exiting the room, holding the door open for me to follow.
We walk around the school getting the basic layout. Where each hallway was, the bathrooms, cafeteria, gym, theater, club rooms, and the way the number system worked for the classrooms. After about two and a half hours of wandering and stopping by certain teachers to chat after school let out (about an hour after I finished the test since it was 3:00 when I finished). I finally learned enough about the school and staff there to feel comfortable navigating by myself tomorrow. We headed back to the office to get my schedule, and paper that stated what was required to attend each class. (Notebooks. Pencils, binders, etc)
I head home around 6:00, dinnertime. With my papers in hand, smiling, ready to tell Sonic how awesome I am. I walk in the door, only to find Sonic and Shadow in the living room, with Shadow on top of Sonic, pinning him to the ground. 'Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. In the LIVING ROOM?' I give them a disgusted look and slowly start to back towards the door, ready to leave.
((AN: Haha I'm leaving it here. I'll let you figure it out later))
