Chapter 15: Girl Time

POV: Amy

Rouge and I retreated to our shared room for the night and decided to use our special mobian face masks we bought. After we applied them, we sat on our beds and chatted for a bit. Waiting for them to dry. "Soooo, I was thinking about asking Sonic to go to the movies with me tomorrow. What do you think would be the most romantic one to see?" Rouge just smirks "Hmm, I don't know. Are you sure he's even going to want to?" I make a face at her and cross my arms "Of course he will. He's my boyfriend after all. How could he NOT want to go on a romantic date with me?" She chuckles "Either way, I think you can't go wrong with a classic. Today's romance movies are all the same. One of my favorites is Cry Baby. They are playing it at the movie theater tomorrow night actually. I saw it on a sign earlier. Apparently they do a classic movie night every day, each day is a different genre."

I smile and get up, going to our closet and getting out the dress I got. "Perfect. Should I wear this? Or should I buy something new tomorrow?" Rouge smiles at me and nods "I think that'll look lovely enough. It's very beautiful." The dress is a light pink, nearly transparent color, with beautiful roses printed on the whole thing. It has half sleeves and a long flowy A line style with a white flower belt sewn in. I put it away again before heading back to Rouge. "Sonic is so perfect for me. Oh I love him so much~" I sit down next to her, giggling. 'Hmmm I wonder if she likes anyone? Maybe she likes Shadow?' I think to myself before asking "Soooooo, wanna play Truth or Dare? Or 20 questions?" Rouge raises her eyebrow and shrugs "I guess I'm open for a short game of Truth or Dare while we wait."

"Ok, I'll start I guess. Truth or Dare, Rouge." She thinks for a second before replying with "Dare~" "hmmm" I say. I thought for a while before coming up with something. "I dare you to go into the kitchen, and hide Shadow's coffee beans." I say with a chuckle. Rouge widens her eyes "He's gonna kill me. Oh well." I follow her as we creep into the kitchen. She quickly and quietly relocates the coffee beans before we head back to the room, hoping no one saw us. Once we get back we start giggling quietly. "He's going to be so mad when he can't find them" Rouge says with a laugh. I giggle as a response and nod my head "Ok, ok, your turn now" She crosses her legs before asking "Ok, Truth or Dare?" I purse my lips in thought before saying "Dare" She nods and thinks for a minute. I see her eyes squint as she smirks evily at me. "Ok, how about, I Dare you to yell penis as loud as you can." I cover my mouth and gasp, instantly blushing "Rouge! I can never!" Rouge shakes her head at me with a chuckle "If you pass on a Dare you have to do two dares instead.~" I sigh and hang my head in defeat "Fine." I take a breath before shouting "PENIS!!" I hear a poof and see a flash of light under the doorframe before I hear Shadow's deep voice saying threateningly "Fucking keep it down. I'm trying to read, and not have another migraine." The light flashes again and Rouge and I exchange an 'Oh shit' look before giggling quietly.

"Ok my turn now. Truth or Dare." Rouge smirks and says "Dare" I sigh "Ok, but next time you pick truth. We can't just pick the same thing over and over." She shrugs "Fair enough." I think about what I should make her do for a minute, before getting an idea. "I dare you to. Hehe. I dare you to go knock on Shadow's bedroom door and run back as fast as you can." Rouge raises her eyebrows and slouches "You're really trying to get me killed tonight, aren't you? Ugh. If he catches me I'm telling him it was YOUR dare." I widen my eyes and shake my head quickly. "Oh, you better not. Don't you dare get caught." Rouge sighs and gets up, leaving the room.

I hear her knock and her flapping her wings quickly, flying back as fast as she can. I hear a loud thud and she squeals "Sorry handsome, Amy dared me. We're playing Truth or Dare." I hear Shadow respond, obviously confused "What's that? Also what the fuck is on your face?" The bat replies "It's a face mask Amy and I bought today. And Truth or Dare? It's a game. You take turns and ask someone Truth or Dare. If they pick Truth, you ask them a question and they HAVE to answer it, if they pick dare you make them do something weird or embarrassing, and they have to do it. It's pretty fun. Maybe we can all play it together sometime?" They're chatting as they walk up to the door. Rouge opens the door and I see Shadow standing next to her, glaring at me. "Sorry Shadow. I couldn't think of anything else to make her do, she's the one who dared me to yell, which got you angry in the first place. It was my payback." He rolls his eyes at me and says to Rouge "Yeah. I'll play one of these days." Before he turned around and left, back to his room.

I sigh, glad that was over with, as Rouge enters the room and sits back down on the bed. "Truth or Dare Amy?" I yawn "Dare. I know I have to pick Truth next time." She sits there in thought for a moment and finally says "I dare you to try to get Shadow to give you a hug." "Aw come on. Really? Again with Shadow? He's already mad enought at us." "Last one with Shadow, I promise" the bat says to me. I pout, getting up anyway as I don't want to have to do two separate dares. I slowly walk over to Shadow's room, knocking gently "Hey. It's me. I got a stupid dare." Shadow growls on the other side of the door and I can hear him walking up befofe it swings open. "What now?" He grumbles. I sigh and don't even look up at him. "Rouge dared me to hug you. Don't worry though, we're going to do truths after this and we're going to leave you alone " to my surprise, Shadow just pulls me into an embrace, and I hug back. 'He's strong, but in a good way, Soft too. I wonder what product he uses.' It was over about as soon as it started though. "There, now you can tell the bat you completed your dare. And leave me out of your stupid dares now. I'm going to bed." He turned and shut the door, leaving me standing there confused. I head back and sit down on my bed, not saying anything.

"So, how'd you do?" She asked, chuckling. "He hugged me." I looked up at her, beaming. "In your face. I bet you thought I was going to get yelled at." Rouge just chuckles "Actually I was kind of expecting him to hug you. He's secretly a softy, he just almost never shows anyone that side of him. I've caught a glimpse of it a time or two, like earlier in the Kitchen with big blue." I shrug it off, already thinking of what I'm going to ask her. "Anyway. Now it's time for a couple truths. So, as your truth, do you like Shadow? Romantically?" She just laughs and shakes her head. "No, definitely not. He's very handsome, but he would never date someone like me for several reasons, also, I have my eyes on someone else." I cock my head, now extra curious. "Why wouldn't he like you? And who DO you like?" She just smiles "It's not my business to tell why he wouldn't like me, I just know he wouldn't. And well, I like a certain person that we are both friends with, and that's all I'm willing to share."

I sit there thinking as she blushes and thinks of a truth to ask me. "So, for your Truth, hypothetically, what would you do if Sonic didn't like you?" I furrow my eyebrows "Well that's a dumb question, because he does like me." She shakes her head at me like I didn't understand "No, I mean let's pretend he didn't. What would you do?" 'I'd cry' I think. 'I can't just say that, hmm what would I do?' I sit there and think for a while before answering. "I guess, if he truly didn't like me and I had no chance with him, I'd be really sad. But if he was happy, and still himself, then I guess I'd be ok and get over it eventually. I don't know if I'd ever love anyone else ever again, but I'd try to move on if it just wasn't meant to be." She smiles "That's nice of you. It can be hard to be happy for someone that you love if it means not being with them. It reminds me that we're all grown ups now, well, aside from Tails obviously." We both chuckle at the last part and then she smiles at me.

I smile back at her, and ask the same question we've been asking. "Truth or dare?" She shrugs. "Truth, but after this, we should take off our face masks and go to bed. We've apparently killed a lot of time." I nod and ask her one of the same questions I asked earlier. "Who do you like?" She sighs and looks down, blushing. "Dang it. I thought you would forget about that. I like..." She takes a deep breath before looking back up at me to guage my reaction "I like Knuckles." Her blush deepens as I giggle quietly "Ohhh. Yeah. That makes sense. He's basically the only one you don't openly flirt with. You do the subtle flirting with him." She chuckles lightly "Yeah, I guess you're right." We both get up and go to clean off our face masks, getting ready for bed. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day.
