I can hurt you.

As everyone was finishing off dinner. Most of the avatars were getting ready for bed. It had been a long day of working out there new bodies. Nick had been sparring with Zdog. Over powering her each time. But there was a time he'd let her win, just so she wouldn't get too annoyed.

Base was huge. But there was a sleeping quarters specially for mission Phoenix. A huge room with bunk beds. Very simple, but also two bathrooms with a toilet and shower. Built for avatars to fit in.

There was a showering quarters but Nick and the female avatars would be the ones using the bathroom.

Walking in the room, doors already opened. Nick sees Zdog making her bed. He had an idea. Quietly he crept over. Tail poking up in the air, ears perked up and alert. Taking each step slowly as Nick prepared to grab her tail. He watched it swoosh around in the air, she was very concentrated on smoothing out her bed. Quickly Nick grabbed the middle length of her tail, and gave it a gentle pull. He darted back and let go.

Zdogs ears twitched and her tail flicked. Turning around. "Hey!" Seeing Nick, she grabbed her pillow and threw it at him. "Asshole" she smirked.
"Hey you didn't even notice me I had to" holding his hands up with a smile.

"Cant let a girl make her bed in peace huh?" Said Ja smiling as he leans under the door coming in. "How was training bro?" Asks Nick.
"Pain in the ass, as usual" Says Ja while stretching his back. "Everything feels so unnatural"

"Wait until we're back on Pandora" laughs Zdog.

Nick cocked his head. "You've been there before?" He asked.

"Only in my memories" she said.

"Perhaps it'll be more interesting without the mask on now" Says Ja, still stretching.

Fike leans under the door coming in. "What are you guys talking about?"

"Nothing important " says Zdog.
"Can I finish making my bed now?"

Nick puts up his hands in surrender.
Walking over to his bunk bed, climbing up and laying down. Nicks bed was attached to Ja's.
Ja also laid down in his bed. Not long before everyone was in bed. It was only Ja, Fike, Zdog and Nick assigned to that room. The others would be in rooms sorted next door.

Zdog was giggling to Nick about Fike getting his ass whooped the moment he was awaken. Fike was on bottom bunk next to Zdogs bed, trying to justify himself.

Ja was trying to sleep, but smiling listening to his friends talk on.

Waking up before everyone else. Nick quietly sits up and climbs out of bed. Heading to the hallways. Hardly anyone was walking around. Walking past the rooms Nick heard a faint noise. Someone counting?.
Twenty six.... Twenty seven..... twenty eight..

These weren't human quarters. Curious on who was awake, Nick quietly opened the door.
Unnoticeably he peeps his head through. Ears perked up. It was the colonel. He was on the floor doing push-ups. At this time?
Nick looked at him and cocked his head. Who in there right mind gets up this early to work out?. That's what he thought. He stood longer watching him then he should. Each time he went to the ground his dog tag necklace would clang on the ground. Watching his tail swoosh around for balance. His ears prickled down each time he went down. And normal when he pushed up. It was almost amusing watching his body language.

Realising he's been standing here for a weird amount of time, slowly nick shut the door.

After having some gross protein meal from the eating quarters, nick set out to the gym room. Not to his surprise he saw Zdog lifting weights with Fike. Ja was doing arm curls on a bench. Everyone was busy. Walking back to the halls, Nick figured he'd go see Diane. Walking to her lab that she's always in, there she was. Sitting on her chair with her nose in her work. Quietly walking towards her.

It was peaceful watching her work. Gently putting a hand on her shoulder. "Hey Dee"
Turning her head in surprise. With a gasp she got off her chair and gave her friend a hug. Looking up at his face, the height difference was staggering. "I thought your meant to be away for your mission?"

"We set off in three days. Thought I'd try and see you before then" he looked down at her with a calm smile, his face was almost sad.
Thinking how he won't see her for a while on his mission. How he may not see her again. His ears drooped down.

Diane didn't need to look at his ears to know he was unhappy. She held onto his hand. "What's wrong fur boy?" She asked him. "I'll just miss you when I leave that's all" She smiled at him. "Make sure you bring me back some plants"
They sat in the room studying the plant graphs. Diane wanted to make sure he at least knew about the foliage before he tried eating any. He would do that.

They both opened the doors of the room to walk out. "So yes if you eat the one with the Pink stars you won't feel your tongue" laughed Diane. Walking out the door first with Nick behind waiting to duck under through the door. Mansk was walking past, in some kind of mood. Shoving past Diane "watch it" and continued walking.

"Watch where your going blueberry" said Nick in a low aggressive tone, as he stood up from coming out the door. Mansk stopped and turned around. "What did you call me?"

"Blind and death" Nick smirked. "What kinda blue cat are you?"

Mansk curled his lip a bit, ears lowered he walked towards Nick slowly. As his tail flicked. He was very angry.
Diane knew better then to get between two giants. She backed up, but still tried holding onto Nicks arm. "It's okay Nick, no big deal"
"Relax I got this" he said.
At close distance mansk pushed Nick back. "Keep your mouth shut dog" muttered mansk. Cocking his head while lowering his ears. Nick grew a grin. "I know you didn't just say that"
Taking a step closer, getting in mansk's face.
"Watch yourself" said the avatar.
The wolfs lips curled and he started to growl.

Diane tried pitching in. "Guys seriously calm down" "Shut it science pu-" before mansk could finish the sentence. Nick had punched him clean in the jaw. With such force the avatar fell on his ass. Rubbing his jaw he quickly got up and swung towards the wolf.
Dodging his punch, Nick swung another hit. This time on his nose. As mansk lowered his head reacting to the impact, Nick lowered down and tackled mansk at his legs to the ground. Hitting the wall Nick was on top. Delivering fast punches to the avatars face. Mansk grabbed Nick and threw him off.

Mansk getting up and Standing in a position with his legs spread out and arm holding on the ground. His tail swooshed around. Low growls escaped his mouth. He was like a wild animal.

Nick was now growling loudly, his tail high in a dominate stance. Ears down. His face snarling. Quickly Rolling to the side to get back up, he grabbed the ground and launched himself at mansk.

Mansk punched Nick to the ground but he rolled to the side and quickly grabbed a hold of mansk on the shoulder. Nose now bleeding. Letting out a loud bark Nick sunk his teeth as best he could into mansk's shoulder.

Blood dripped onto the white floor.
Mansk stood up and was about to slam his shoulder in the wall, but before he could. wainfleet grabbed Nicks jaw and pried it open, threw him to the side. Zdog then appeared and held onto Nick so he couldn't run over and finish the bleeding avatar. Wainfleet was holding onto mansk, struggling to keep him back. "Stand down you hear me?!" Ordered Lyle. "Both of you calm down!".

Zdog looked over at mansk. Blood was flowing down his arm and onto the floor.
"Shit" she breathed...

Lyle reached to his coms. "Colonel imma need you down here"
