The bullet hit Quaritch's shoulder causing him to lean back from the impact. Holding the wound Quaritch groaned, glaring at the officers. "That's the Colonel dammit! Lower your weapons!" General Ardmore stepped forward. Nick hunched down snarling his fangs at the officer with his gun, letting out a growling bark. Quaritch paced his breath not able to speak, the pain was unlike anything he'd ever experienced before, there was pain he remembered from his memories but he couldn't feel it, it wasn't real to him. This pain was real. The wolf rushed toward the officer. "Trank the Dog! Don't open fire!" Yelled Ardmore, she stepped back heading to the office room by the gate. Officers on standby raised the shields they had, one guard in his amp suit walked towards the officer to assist. In a speeding rush the wolf barged the officer flying him towards the amp suit hitting it with a thud. Nick bared his fangs and walked to the officer ignoring the others ordering him to back up.

Grabbing the man by his collar Nick sat him up, drool hanging down his mouth.
"Nick!" A familiar friendly voice.
Nick lowered his ears turning to the noise.
Diane had her hands up walking towards the wolf. "Please Nick.. put him down ok?".
Relaxing his face Nick dropped the officer and stood up wagging his tail. Walking towards the woman, Nick tilted his head at her sniffing the air. "It's me buddy come here" she smiled holding out her arms to him. Ardmore walked out of the room with a guard holding a trank gun. "There shoot him" she pointed at the wolf.
Aiming the large gun, the guard shot a dart into the wolf's neck. Letting out a whimper Nick ripped the dart out. "Dee?.." rolling his eyes to his head the wolf collapsed to the floor in heavy sleep. Diane walked over petting the wolf's head, kneeling down she held up his head into her lap. "Doctor Grey" said Ardmore as she walked over. "Dangerous animal your holding there". Diane didn't respond, she looked up to the general then back to the wolf in her lap. Quaritch walked over to the General holding onto his shoulder, glancing to the wolf on the floor. "Your guards gotta watch who there shootin" growled Quaritch. "You weren't expected here Colonel. Why were you both here?". Crossing her arms the general was assessing the situation. "The wolf insisted on seeing that doctor, I was tryna avoid another 'incident'" he huffed. "So much for that".

General Ardmore reached to her coms. "I want a medic at the gate immediately, Wait here Colonel, I'll get a team to take the wolf in isolation for the night then send him out in the morning".

A team of officers carefully took the wolf from Diane's care , placing him onto a hovering truck and sending it back to the centre of bridgehead. "Don't shoot!" A voice yelled from behind. Ardmore turned around seeing Ace with his hands up slowly walking towards them. "I heard a shot what happened?". "Misunderstanding" calmed Ardmore. The truck left with the wolf before Ace could see it, he had no idea, and Ardmore wanted to keep it like that. "I don't actually know your name. Your Recom?" Asked Ardmore. Now close up to the General, Ace looked down at the tiny woman. Getting on his knee almost at eye level, "Ace Parker ma-am" He smiled. "Officer murphy will escort you back to the quarters, I'll have another officer come by in the morning to take you into the forest with the wolf. I'll brief you in the morning".

"Will do General" Ace stood up and sure enough the officer jogged over and escorted him back. Blood dripped down the colonels arm and his hand covering the wound, the blood stained into his tank top as he didn't have the vest on. It was late night and Quaritch was expecting to be in bed by now not shot awaiting a medic.

There was a loud start up of an engine, propellors spinning and a jolt of the aircraft lifting into the air. Nick twitched his head opening his eyes, he could smell gas from the engine. "What the...". Looking around he was in a scorpion plane. To the side Ace was holding onto the handles for dear life, hunching himself down with his tail tucked to his side. "I'd give you a hug but... fuck that!.." Ace tried shouting to Nick but the engines and wings were muffling his voice. Nick realised he was in the air. "Fuck.. calm down.. calm down.." closing his eyes he breathed out slowly counting. "Cmere Ace" said Nick. "What!?".
"Let go of the handle and come here!"
"Screw that! I'm good here!" Ace clenched tighter to the handle backing himself up as far as possible to the wall. Nick crawled over to the recoms leg, grabbing his foot Nick stood up pulling himself and Ace to the centre of the scorpion. "No! No! No! Don't do that!" Shrieked Ace, he tried crawling back to the safety of the wall but Nick kept tugging him back. "Dude we're getting higher up stop!"
"It's better you get over heights now then later! Trust me!". Ace's tail stood straight up, his ears down as he clung to the floor of the flying aircraft. "They said there taking us to the floating mountains.." sighed Ace. Nick sat up rubbing his eye. "Don't worry about that right now, just get use to flying". "What's so fucking important about flying? What exactly is it imma be flying?" Asked Ace.
"I'll tell you when we land"
"We're zip lining down" Ace turned over onto his side facing Nick, pointing to the harness around his hips and partly legs. "I'll carry you down don't worry" winked Ace smirking.
"Not so scared of heights anymore?" Smiled Nick. "I'm dying internally don't remind me cunt" smirk disappearing. The pilot talked through to Ace's ear piece, "I'll hover at the bottom of the mountain you'll need to climb up!" . "Why can't you just land on the mountain?!" Asked Ace. "It'll scare your ride, we'll be there in ten minutes so get ready to attach your harness and zip down"
"Copy that." replied Ace.
