After Ace took Nick outside for some fresh air, they both went back to Spider in the sparing room. Looking after Duchess Spider sat in the corner coddling the cub while Fike and Zhang 'watched them', but in reality they were wrestling each other non-stop paying no attention to the boy or the cub.
Shaking off his anger Nick walked into the room with his arms out looking at spider, "was my girl behaving?" He asked, smiling at Spider. "Considering she can't even crawl she's been fine, but I think she's hungry"
Scooping the cub from the boys lap Nick gently rocked her side to side. As young as the cub was she caught a whiff of the man holding her and immediately she paddled her paws in the air shrieking. "It's cool how she knows it's you," Spider smiled. "She just loves her daddy" Said Nick leaning his nose to the cubs snout gently booping her. "Don't you baby girl?". "I think you mean daddies, yeah?" Butted in Ace.
"She's bonded to the Colonel through the queue" crossing his arms Ace faced Spider leaning down to him, "Personally I think Nick's the mother but sure".

"Oh fuck off im not the bitch" Replied Nick.
"My dad's never chewed my food down for me" chuckled Spider. Ace looked proud of himself for training spider to join in on his teasing. "Don't look so smug your teaching him to disrespect his elders" huffed Nick.

"Elders? You act the youngest out of us all Furboy" Said Fike leaning his arm over Nick's shoulder. "Why don't I get the Colonel to punch you for a third time eh?" Said Nick smirking with his lip curled. "Hah hah, so funny" leaning off Nick.
"Time for someone's dinner isn't it baby girl?" Cooed Nick rocking the cub in his arms.
"Please go do that away from us for god sake" groaned Ace, turning away with his hand over his mouth, gagging.

As Nick took Duchess to the cafeteria, Colonel Quaritch tended to his duties with Lyle at his side as usual, Ardmore was informing them what they can and can't do upon going Na'vi during their mission. Just reasonable things not limiting much, there was talk of when they should be expected to head out. Tomorrow morning the recoms would fly out again and stay in the forest for a night or two if wished, No aircraft would come for them they would need to fly back. Corporal Wainfleet stood close to the General taking in the information while Quaritch stepped back pondering, his mind on something else.

After Ardmore's dismissal Quaritch walked down the halls heading to his room, not a recom in sight. Nor the boy or the wolf were in his quarters. Checking in on the cafeteria no one, Even in the gym room it was empty for a change. Puzzled Quaritch called through the coms to the open channel, "anyone have eyes on the wolf?". "Copy Colonel it's Ace, Nick's heading to the cafeteria now to feed the cub". "Anyone with em?" Replied the Colonel. "No sir.". "Copy that" Said Quaritch, Turning around he headed back to the cafeteria.
Opening the doors the room was quiet and empty. "Nick?!" Called out the Colonel flicking his tail. Sounds of something hurling up came from the kitchen behind the counter. Walking closer to the noise Quaritch could hear light shrieking, a sound that felt familiar to his head. Peering his head over the counter, Nick was hunched on the ground throwing up chunks of meat into a bowl. Stepping back the Colonel turned around gagging and coughing with his hand over his mouth. Wiping his mouth pushed the bowl to the cub eagerly slurping and chewing with her head pushed into the bowl. "You think if I was to escape I'd be in the kitchen?" Asked Nick standing up.

"That's disgusting you hear me?" Muffled Quaritch still gagging covering his mouth.
"Good" growled Nick rolling his eyes.
Getting his composer, Quaritch kept his back to the wolf putting his hand down to his side. "What's your problem?" He asked.

"There isn't one, you can piss off now" Said Nick sitting down next to the cub.
"This is about me calling you a dog earlier, yeah?". Nick didn't reply. "When the animals finished eating I wanna show you something, I'll be at the door" Said Quaritch turning and leaving. Nick couldn't help but feel curious, this sounded like it could be something cool, but the Colonel isn't cool. He's cold and stern? What could he possibly want to show the wolf..
