Walking through the halls Quaritch led the way heading to the shower rooms. People walked past giving their usual strange looks at the wolf and the recom. Nick tried his best to walk as normal as possible but it was still noticeable he was moving weirdly. "We good?" Asked Quaritch. Holding his hands in his pockets Nick nodded his head keeping silent. Getting into the shower rooms was nothing special, to the door there were lockers for each of the recoms, to the Centre it was just shower heads attached to the walls. Zdog and Nick always used the bathroom in her room, the no doors idea felt like a breach in privacy, not to the marine men of course. Quaritch got undressed putting his dirty clothes in the laundry basket. Nick averted his gaze turning around. "What?" Smirked Quaritch. "Nothing".   Looking over, the wolf showed no intent of getting himself undressed. "Don't tell me your all shy now?" Quaritch teased. Rolling his eyes Nick walked to the lockers taking off his clothes. The recoms names were written in sharpie on each locker, the vacant ones were starting to fade out. {Nick} {Ja} {Walker}. Walker was one of the last recoms to wake during the flight in space. She had a feisty attitude but she was strong. Her last encounter with the wolf was a struggling fight trying to get him to Pandora. Though Nick wasn't all that close with Walker or Warren, the thought of them never coming back stung a little. "Couldn't imagine how everyone else feels.." thought Nick.

In the cafeteria everyone was eating and laughing, for once Diane sat with the recoms talking to Spider. Nick stayed at the door frame watching everyone. "This won't last forever.. so take it in while you can Nick..". "Furboy! Come join us" waved Zee. Snapping back Nick smiled walking over, joining everyone at the table.

Peacefully eating her food Diane noticed Corporal Wainfleet looking over at her, "What's the plan for this sample run doc?".  "The cave you were at before, if you could take some of those flowers and bring them back, if you find other flowers or plants I'd like a small sample cut and taken back as well".

"All of you are going just for that?" Said Spider, sounding sad he wouldn't be going. "It's better we go all together instead of getting picked off" said Quaritch drinking his afternoon coffee. "When do we go?" Asked Nick. "Two hours'' replied Quaritch. "If you're all going I don't see the harm if I-". Cutting off Diane, Quaritch put his coffee down with a thud, "not happening". "Do you seriously think I'm going to go running off into the forest like some madman? '' huffed Diane. Ignoring her, Quaritch continued eating his food. "Damn prick" she muttered under her breath. "Hey" growled Lyle, "what?" Replied Nick scrunching his snout at Wainfleet. "I wouldn't corporal.." sighed Mansk. "Enough you two" groaned Quaritch. Sticking her head out from under the table Duchess rattled her quills looking at Miles. "Easy girl" relaxed Quaritch, rubbing the cats neck. Spider played with his fork on the table clearly uncomfortable. Diane patted Spider on the head whispering to him with a smile. Getting up from his seat Wainfleet held his hands on the wolf's shoulders moving him back and forth, "relax yeah? I don't need you doing to me what you did to mansk" chuckled Lyle. "Yeah yeah, sorry" sighed Nick.

With a roar from the ikrans the recoms mounted their banshee's and flew up soaring over the bridgehead wall. "Nothing beats that fresh breeze" said Zdog. "Please don't be our last.." thought Ace. Flying into the forest anxiety took over his mind, not only could they all die but once their knocked out, everyone's in the Na'vi's hands. Tucking his tail Ace's ears went down, he looked like a scared cat.

Landing onto the ground each recom took a small pouch filled with sample needles and plastic containers. "The syringes are for the stems of a plant, the containers you just need to take a petal and close it in" Instructed Nick. Looking to Quaritch he noticed he didn't take a pouch, nor Wainfleet. "Colonel, samples?"said Nick. "I don't do that sciencey crap, Lyle whatcha got?"  His tone was so casual shrugging the wolf off it kinda hurt. "There's a weak signal of a wrecked gunship a couple feet from here" said Lyle checking his tablet. "That's what we're off to do, when you're done with.. that. Call it in" yet again shrugging it off with a flick of the Colonel's tail as he and his shadow were walking off following the signal.
