The taming

Getting to the rookery was no easy task, but now the Wolf would have to teach an old cat new tricks.

Standing behind a rock Nick looked at the ikran's roaring and chilling on the mountain. Grabbing Ace's braid Nick held it up facing the queue in Ace's sight. "Extremely important you connect this to the ikran's, I mean it extremely important".
"Yeah I read it in the manual they gave us"
"Excuse me?"
"After I got briefed they gave me some manual explaining it, didn't think it was all that important but now I remember bits and pieces"

"I'm gunna kill you after this"
Pushing Ace towards the ikran's Nick kept himself hidden by the rock. "Use your legs to keep its mouth shut, get on its back"

"I get it, I got this" Ace's heart was racing, the adrenaline was pulsing through him causing him to be scared and pissed at the same time. Taming basically a dragon? The thought terrified him, even more so he'd have to fly at great heights with the thing, And he might even die doing this.

Looking to the four ikran's sitting in front there was a light blue ikran hissing at another next to him, his pattern was very plain and his colours were pure blue in slightly different shades. Black splurge's circled around his eyes.
Ace's eyes flickered at the bird, This was the one. Flicking his tail Ace walked up to the bird staring directly to his eyes. Lifting his lip in a smirk Ace hunched himself facing the ikran, opening his mouth the recom let out a long dominant hiss to the ikran. In return the bird stepped forward growling attempting to bite his head off. Dodging the massive bird, Ace swirled and ran pushing his leg off a nearby rock jumping onto the birds back. Quickly he positioned himself and wrapped his legs around the birds mouth keeping it shut. Clawing at the ground the ikran bucked it's neck knocking the cat to the ground. Rolling himself to the side dodging the cats claws Ace quickly got up dodging another bite. A low growl hummed down his throat as he looked at the ikran. Ducking under the birds head Ace wrapped around its neck and bit down on its queue stem. The ikran shrieked and roared backing itself up, he stood up lifting the recom hanging around its neck, swinging itself to the floor on its side Ace let go and swung himself onto his back again. Grabbing the stem he pulled it around and grabbed his queue, attaching it to the ikran. Suddenly the bird stopped struggling and fighting, his breathing calmed and he slowly sat up relaxed.

Ace brushed his hand around the ikran's neck down to the his gills. He ran his hand down the stem of the animals queue, he could feel the animals emotions and breathing. It felt like a lingering second body, yet completely natural.
"Fly dammit!" Yelled Nick from behind the rock. "Fly?" Muttered Ace, why would he-?.
The ikran ducked and launched itself off the cliff and dived down spreading its wings. Ace clung onto the birds neck holding on for dear life, he screamed all the way down the cliff so loud the wolf could firmly hear it.

Leaning himself up with the ikran's neck Ace looked around him, they were gliding near a wall. Swishing and turning his body the ikran barged into a wall of one of the mountains, trying to cling to the wall but slipping off, the bird glided back down the sky. "Why can't you fly like a normal fucking animal!" Groaned Ace.
Steadying himself the ikran splayed out and calmly flew straight. Now that he could properly look around, Ace spotted the rookery mountain. "Go up" pointing to the mountain. The ikran looked up to the mountain and flapped his wings hurling up.
Nick as he sat on the ground waiting for the recom, he was beginning to feel concerned. Ace flew up and halted his bird in the air above the mountain. "Come get some!" He shouted as he stood up holding the ikran's queue.
"Beginning to think you carked it Bunny"
"Takes more then a bird to kill me" smirked Ace, landing his ikran he put out his arm to Nick as he stood up. Grabbing his arm Nick jumped on the ikran and held on behind Ace.
"Where to now oh wise one?"
Nick put his hand on Ace's shoulder.
"I'll guide you"
