Suddenly waking up, Nick rubs his head. "Ow.. shit.." a definite bruise on the back of his head. Looking around Nick realises who's room he's in, while remembering what happened.

After quaritch let go of Nicks throat right after he said he could shoot him, Nick fell unconscious. Quaritch must of put him in a spare bed because looking around he saw the colonel laying asleep in his own bed, rolled over facing the wall. Thinking how he could possibly get out of this situation, Nick saw that the door wasn't locked, he'd be able to open it and leave but, the sound of the doors opening and closing would surely wake up quaritch.

"Fuck it.." he'd rather risk getting caught then staying and finding out what happens to him in the morning. Quietly sneaking out of the bed and onto the floor, he goes on his tippy toes to avoid making more sound. sneaking over to the door not looking at the colonel, as eye contact might alert him, he's a cat after all. Getting over to the door he opens it, as expected the doors are loud as they open, even louder at night, even louder when your not a human but an avatar.

Without even looking behind him Nick closes the door and steps to the other side. He wasn't going back to his room. He was going the only place they might not find him.

Quietly walking along the hallways in a completely different section to the avatar sleeping quarters, there was the science labs, and the sleeping quarters for those scientists so they'd be close to there work.

Opening a door which could only be Diane's personalised lab. Walking into the room you notice it's very different to the others, the walls are painted a baby green, the air is fresh and the temp neutral compared to the freezing cold white labs next door. Specialised vines hung and spread across the walls, from each walk to the other. A light hung down from the middle of the ceiling, giving off a warm colour instead of a burning bright white.

The room naturally smelt of plants, you could tell they were plants but they weren't the ones from earth. Each time entering the room it was like a field trip for the wolf's nose. Completely different scents that he could never get use to. Diane would always lecture him on the plants, she's always so fascinated with Pandora.

Walking to the corner of the room there was a bean bag, and a fluffy green blanket. If Diane was up late and busy Nick would just sleep on that. Laying on the bean bag getting comfortable, Nick slithers around under the blanket, curling up like a dog. Drifting into sleep.

He didn't plan on going to Pandora, he was gunna do everything possible to avoid it and stay in the lab with Diane.

After some hours of sleeping, Nick could hear a faint typing noise, someone on a keyboard writing, that could only be Diane.
Slowly opening his eyes, Nick looks over at the desk and sure enough Diane was sitting there typing away, researching her plants. She looked so interested, but the sound of Nick rustling the bean bag as he woke up made her turn her head around. "Morning sleepy" She said with a smile.

"Morning.." Nick yawned. Getting up he walked over to Diane's desk, sitting on the chair next to her. "What's the time?"

"About four am. You leave for pandora soon, can't imagine they'll keep bridgehead waiting"

"I'm not goin"

"You know they won't let you"

"I'm stayin with you" He looked her in the eyes with such seriousness. She knew he would do anything to stay here, even if it meant he'd get into trouble. But to her it wasn't worth risking his life to stay cooped up in a lab with her. She wanted to go to Pandora desperately, but it wasn't safe for her at bridgehead. Only the RDA military were staying there, and only crucial scientists were allowed to go. Her time would come soon but not yet.
