Another Cat In Bridgehead

Flying back into bridgehead General Ardmore was waiting at the gate with her usual armed officers on standby. Diane stood next to the general watching the crew land.
Instantly spotting the small human on the ground waiting Nick quickly shuffled off just before the ikran could even land, attempting to grab him so he doesn't fall Quaritch missed, flicking his tail. "Diane?" The wolf walked over to the human looking down to her. "Give me a hug already" she smiled holding her arms out.
Leaning down wrapping around Diane he pulled her in giving a slight squeeze. Under the fur and muscle of the large canine the human almost disappeared under him. Stepping back Ace and Quaritch were at the wolf's side, saluting they both greeted the General. Ace had one arm behind him holding the cub.

"I see you successfully got your ikran Ace"
"Yes ma'am"
"Colonel will show you where the ikrans stay"
A light roar shrieked behind Ace.
"What is that?" Asked Ardmore. Quaritch turned to Ace grabbing his arm pulling it in front of him to the General.
"Aha.. it's a cub ma-am"
Diane quickly stepped forward gently taking the cub from the recom, holding it like a baby she stepped back towards Nick.
"It's a thanator cub" Said Diane.
"Where did you get it?" Asked Ardmore.
"It's mother died so we took it" Said Nick.
"You think I'm gunna allow a ten foot man eater in bridgehead?"
"It won't attack anyone" Said Nick.
"Oh yeah? What makes you think that"
Nick took the cub from Diane stepping to the Colonel, crossing his arms Quaritch glared at the cub then Nick. "What?" He hissed.
Quickly taking Quaritch's braid and putting it to the cubs queue, bonding them.
"Like the ikrans she won't attack anyone"
"If I may" Said Diane, "we have a pen fit for the animal, this could be a very useful opportunity for the recoms".

"Based on your knowledge then Doctor Grey, would the animal attack anyone?"

"If the people bonded to the animal get attacked I'd assume the thanator would step in, if it was commanded to attack I don't see why it wouldn't, that can be useful for us in tremendous ways though" Said Diane crossing her arms.

Quaritch snarled looking at his braid attached to the baby thanator, Nick handed her to him putting his arms around her. "If she attacks anyone it's on your ass". Snuggling into the recoms arms the cub made little purring noises. Leaning in Nick rubbed her on the face wagging his tail. "Who's a good little duchess hm?". "What pen do I put her in?" Asked Quaritch rolling his eyes.
"She's too young for a pen, she'll be fine with you" said Diane.

In the cafeteria everyone was eating breakfast and chatting, spider next to Lyle and prager as they arm wrestled Fike and Ja. Ja only participated to impress Zdog.
Ace took the cub and sat with Spider showing him the cub. Quaritch stopped at the doorframe examining the room making sure everything was in order. Nick stayed behind the Colonel glancing at him then into the cafeteria. Looking at the strap of the Colonels tank top the wrap of the bandage was showing. Slightly leaning over glancing to the bandage then Quaritch, "why'd you take that bullet for me?". "You wanna talk about this now?" Sighed Quaritch. "I don't get why you did it, could of killed you-"
"It's my job to look after the crew" avoiding eye contact Quaritch leaned his hand over the doorframe with his hand on his side.
"Is it also your job to kiss and man handle them?" The wolf smirked. Biting his tongue the Colonel turned around glaring to the wolf. Hesitantly Quaritch took a step towards Nick, "touch me and I'll start smellin" he threatened.
Tilting his head Quaritch lifted his lip almost in a snarl, "you already are". Quickly grabbing the wolfs neck Quaritch pulled him around the corner out of sight.

Pushing him to the wall the Colonel leaned in sniffing and examining the wolf. "What?" He asked annoyed.
"He wasn't all over you while you were away?"
"Still being jealous kitty?"

"I don't need my crew getting distracted from the mission" Said Quaritch pulling away.
Grabbing the belt strap on the Colonel's pants Nick pulled him closer, "your a bad liar".
Looking down to his belt then the wolfs blue eyes, he was out of words and choked up.
Nick took advantage of his silence.
"I didn't think cats were the territorial type" he teased. Breathing heavy out of his nose Quaritch leaned his hand against the wall above Nick, tail swishing in the air.

Chest burning Quaritch broke the distance and leaned in pressing his lips against Nick's. Pulling the Colonel closer by his belt Nick embraced the Colonel, intimately making out around the corner. Pulling back Quaritch took a breath, heart racing. "I've got shit to do today" he muttered wiping his mouth looking away. Spit dripping from the wolf's mouth, partially his own. Nick tilted his head, "it's still early Colonel". Raising his gaze back to Nick the Colonel almost choked on his spit. Swallowing down Quaritch put his hand over his coms, "wainfleet copy?"
"Corporal wainfleet yes sir?" Muffled laughter through the com. "Keep an eye on spider I've got an errand to do with the wolf"

"Copy that sir"... "looks like we're gonna be babysitting a while longer" Said Lyle turning to Zdog. Spider held duchess gently rocking her as he sat on the table. "That'll give me more time to beat your ass" chuckled Zdog, she was implying the arm wrestling. Ace sat on top of the table with his arms crossed on his lap, feet on the seats. "Colonel and Nick?" Asked Ace turning his head to Lyle.
"Yeah there running an errand apparently." turning his head away rolling his eyes, "probably fucking each other" Chuckled Ace.
Lyle and Zdog laughed, sitting next to Zdog, Ja spat out his drink spilling it on the table. "Sorry, I'll get a tea towel" quickly trotting away wiping his mouth. Sitting quietly next to Ace, Mansk had his arms crossed sitting back at the table with his shades on. Turning his head to Ace he looked back and winked smiling. Quickly he turned his head adjusting his shades flicking his tail.

Closing the door inside the room Quaritch took his shirt off throwing it on the ground before walking to Nick pushing him on the bed. Narrowing his eyes at the wolf laying down, Quaritch crawled onto the bed leaning over Nick. Laying under he wrapped his arms around the Colonels small waist pulling him closer. Gripping on the bed frame Quaritch leaned in closer kissing the wolf. "Can't be here for long I've got people expecting me" he muttered, just loud enough for Nick to hear. "Never have time for fun Miles?" He smiled. Moving against Nick on the bed Quaritch moved his lips down to the Wolf's neck, biting and kissing. "Don't say my name you'll make me crazy" he huffed.
Kissing along his Neck the wolf ran his hands through the Colonel's hair.
After leaving fresh marks on Nick's neck the colonel looked up to the clock on his desk. "Fuck.." he signed getting off the bed, picking up his shirt. Sitting up Nick flicked his ears rubbing his neck, "can't whoever it is wait?". "Ardmore doesn't like waiting"

Throwing his head back with a groan Nick flopped to the side pulling the blanket over him. "Your not staying in here, I'll take you to Lyle"

"That bald fuck only knows how to talk about himself and he's not much of a baby sitter y'know" said Nick peering his snout of the blanket.

"I don't care" Said Quaritch. Nick chuckled, "I know"
Quaritch stepped to his desk grabbing the filter mask out of the drawer, putting the strap around his head letting the mask hang over his chest. "Let's go" he ordered.

Lazily crawling out of the bed Nick rolled his eyes at the Colonel walking past him to wait at the door. As the door slid open Quaritch held onto the wolfs arm encase he decided to run, Nick smirkingly chuckled at that. "Corporal come in".   "Wainfleet copy".
"Come to the cafeteria your watching the dog". Lyle sighed before touching the com, "Got it     Colonel.."
