Upon seeing the General, Quaritch and Ace saluted, Nick glared at the woman twitching his mouth. "I know it's late but we've had a change of plans regarding your crew flying out tomorrow Colonel"

Crossing her arms Ardmore continued. "I've decided it'll just be your new recom and the wolf going to the forest for a night".
Quaritch flinched himself before stepping towards the General. "All do respect General you sure that's a good idea?, he'll run".

Ardmore glanced at Ace then at Quaritch. "Every time your crew goes out you fumble, almost half the crew died on your first mission. I'm instructing a scientist from the ex avatar program to come down and brief you all on Pandora".

"Shouldn't the newbie stay here for that then General?" Asked Quaritch.
"He doesn't have an ikran, he's never been in the forest, avoiding distractions for your next mission this is what I've decided. Your teacher if you will, is coming from the spaceship tonight" looking to the wolf. "To make extra sure you don't think about running, Dr Diane Grey will be teaching your squad, not that I think you'd leave your friend who died for you back on earth, if you were to go rogue I'll call the order, Understand?". Nick's ears twitched and his tail wagged, Diane would be coming down, he'd be going to the forest again. But now he'll have to come back.
Twitching his head the wolf looked at General Ardmore, eyes growing teary yet his tail was wagging . "Diane?.." he muttered. Sighing Ardmore looked back at Colonel Quaritch. "We'll send them out on a helicopter and come back the same spot next day, your recom will get his ikran and general knowledge of his surroundings, the wolf will keep him alive and im sure he'll educate the man, got everything Colonel?"

Biting the inside of his cheek, Quaritch's tail flicked, he hated this plan. "Outstanding" Glaring away his tone was sarcastic.
"I expect you to personally escort them to the airships, I don't need another shooting incident. That'll be all"
Nick had his head down lost in thought.
Quaritch nodded his head but facing away from the General, now dismissed Quaritch opened the door and walked out not looking back. Ace put his hand on Nick's shoulder, zoning back in Nick looked up at him, he looked clueless and sad like a puppy. "We're going Nick come on".
"Right.." . Getting to the hallway Nick shook off the fact Diane was coming, he needed to be focused for tomorrow, he wouldn't see her anyway..

A loud gurgling sound came from the wolf's stomach. Looking at the Colonel walking down the hallway, Nick grabbed Ace's hand and pulled him around a corner. "What are you doing?" Whispered Ace. "Shh.. follow me".
Walking calmly through the centre of bridgehead, the officers glanced over but paid no attention, there uniforms made the creatures look like they were on duty or something. "Where are we going?" Asked Ace.
Nick pointed to the highway of bridgehead, since it was late there was no traffic, just small bots working . Ace gulped looking at the high structure. Nick took his hand walking to the metal structure below the highway. Nick climbed on grabbing the structure he began to climb up. "Cmon, before that tight ass finds us". Ace walked over and followed below the wolf. "Shit.. we're getting high.." gulped Ace. "Get use to it bro" smiled Nick. Getting to the top of the highway Nick sat down with his legs hanging over the edge, Ace caught up struggling to pull himself over without looking down. Finally he rolled onto the platform clinging to the safe stable ground. Nick patted the ground signalling Ace to sit next to him. Crawling behind the wolf he sat comfortably behind him away from the edge. Nick chuckled turning around, crossing his legs.

"Your gunna need to forget your fear of heights tomorrow you know" he smiled looking to the recom.

"Why?" He asked.
"You gotta tame your ikran, the mountains are high as fuck, and you gotta fly the ikran up high"

"Ikran?" Tilting his head to the wolf.
"It's a giant bird the Na'vi and recoms ride, you weren't here when they tamed one so I gotta take you"

"Shit you were actually listening in there?"
"Mostly"
Ace looked over the distance, you could see the whole of bridgehead and beyond the wall from on the highway. "General said something about you runnin, Colonel said the same, why would you run?"
